I am not to familiar with pricing but Edgewood maybe an area worth looking into. Close to homestead and the city. It is also charming as hell.

Elizabeth. It’s close enough and isn’t a place where you have to worry if your car will be 1) vandalized 2) contain a bullet hole that wasn’t there the day before or 3) gone because someone stole it,

Jefferson Hills or Pleasant Hills are nice. Also they are pretty close to homestead. (15-20 minutes depending on the traffic and time of day)
