I'll be going home to New Orleans for the last weekend of Mardi Gras! Anyone have any event recommendations? Krewe parties? Private parties?

Pretty much have to be in a krewe or invited to those last time I was involved in all that.

Can't really go wrong getting a hotel downtown so you can easily play with those already down there.

Definitely not my type of scene, but there's hella money to be made if you can deal with drunken, last minute BS.

Of course, if you haven't booked way in advance, you're paying 4X as much for a room.
