Honestly, even without looking into it, crippling a power grid is one of the primary goals of any invasion. Read some news articles from the early 2000s where they said 'if you live in a major political center with a power plant, the terrorists might bomb it before they bomb BFE Nowhere!'

There have been some fantastic articles and reporting recently highlighting the need to fundamentally change our thoughts on securing our own grid.

The following reporting about the vulnerabilities from both foreign and domestic threats makes some of the problems very accessible.

For those who don't have 13 min to watch here's something you can read.

It's as important to watch what they're not sharing as what they're doing and saying. That applies domestically and to the international community. They weaponize fear.

I doubt any reports on the site would be accurate and or believable.

Same goes with Biden saying the cost of gasoline is do to Putin. If you believe that you believe Biden is not a pure puppet of Obama.
Obama is the Don and Biden is a soldier, simple as that.

This is one of many reasons why the monitoring systems are important.

Ukraine revealed intelligence that Russia's planning a false-flag using the collected bodies of Ukranian fighters to stage an attack on the plant. Question it as you feel is appropriate.

Russia specifically wanted to avoid having meetings with UN nuclear safety leadership at Chernobyl. So there's cut communications and monitoring, Belarus steps in to offer assistance repairing the power and the Russians don't want to let any watchdogs have access to the site and aren't even providing updates?

Hmmm

Updates:

Power was ultimately restored, then lost, then restored.

Hundreds of staff had been living on-site and working without adequate breaks. About 50 were rotated out. Some declined being rotated out.

The area remains under Russian control. A radiation monitoring lab on site has been destroyed and looted, including various samples of highly radioactive radionuclides.

Additionally, forest fires have broken out in the area around the plant and the Ukrainians are having difficultly fighting them due to the Russian presence. This carries some concern regarding proximity to the site as well as the potential for some radioactive particles that remain in the area around the plant to be carried to new areas in the resulting smoke
