Tiny, I'm hearing that 90% of Canadians have been vaccinated and that the majority of truckers when asked, say they have been vaccinated. This all started over " show me your papers" and restrictions being put on the drivers. They said they have had enough of this "authoritarian bullshit" and decided to take a stand, not against being vaccinated but being told to do things they believe should be left up to them to decide as freedom loving people.


There is a very quick way for all this to end, eliminate vaccine passports which it looks like much of the world has now decided to do but now Trudeau has dug in his heels and feels like he can't back down no matter what.

I agree to a point, but reality is none of the inter-country truckers ever crossed the border without showing "their papers", if proof of vaccination is another paper it's not unique. Anyone that has ever traveled internationally knows "papers" are required to pass.

Hedonist, I'd add that a national database showing peoples' vaccinations wouldn't be bad for all of us. The last I checked, if you were a U.S. citizen traveling in certain countries in Europe, you had to get COVID tests periodically if you wanted to eat in restaurants or even check into a hotel. They didn't require the tests though if you could present a digital COVID vaccination certificate. That's not possible if you were vaccinated in the USA though, as we don't have a national registry for vaccinations.

Many of us may dislike vaccine passports, but if you're subject to rules of other countries, like travelers and truckers, you're stuck with something like them.
