Sure, not all ideas are good ideas. There is no valid defense for those who entered the Capitol building unlawfully on Jan 6th.

But lets look at the ramifications and un-intended or purposeful consequences of other actions, and think about whether or not they are in the best interests of our Nation.

The protests of 2020 were intended to be public expressions of displeasure over the death of George Floyd. Peaceful protest is an American cultural tradition going back to , at least, the civil rights movement of MLK in the 1960s. l I remember them. many of tyhe protests of 2020 descended into violent riots with senseless destruction of property and wonton looting. One might say that this is the natural extension of pent-up frustration . . .etc. The "un-patriotic" acts were, in my opinion, the lack of response by the local civil authorities in letting the violence expand and continue for night after night. Ghe systematic looting of Chicago's central shopping district is one glaring example.

The failure of the current administration to control our southern border, while at times closing our northern border are not actions of a president who wants to preserve and protect the Nation rom external threats. No justification for that policy can stand against the simultaneous exclusion of refugees from Cuba . . . and the wholesale and proactive importation of random refugees from Afghanistan. Yes, there ARE "friends and allies" in that group too, but the bulk of them are wholly unknown and randomly included people of unknown allegiance.

These acts of maladministration and intentional policy are not acts of patriots who intend to protect and defend the Nation's Constitution as would a true Patriot. These are acts of people who wish to irrevocably change the character and nature of our country forever .

That is not the character of a Patriot, in fact, it is quite the opposite.
