CNN guest says Biden has done an 'extremely good job' on Afghanistan amid chaos: He 'should be congratulated'
https://www.foxnews.com/media/cnn-ma...ob-afghanistan
Matthew Dowd previously defended Biden by complaining the media's coverage has been 'way over the top'

In media news today, critics express outrage as Biden again takes no questions on Afghanistan, DeSantis blasts Associated Press in an open letter, and Psaki gets panned after saying it's 'irresponsible' to say Americans are 'stranded' in Afghanistan
Political commentator Matthew Dowd went above and beyond with his gushing over President Joe Biden, making the case during his CNN appearance that he should be praised for his handling of the turbulent military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Dowd began by dismissing the dramatic plunge in the polls Biden has had in recent weeks, insisting the "small drift" in his approval numbers are actually tied to the coronavirus pandemic with American voters who "disapprove of the situation" and are taking it out on the president.

But when pressed on whether Biden is "making the right bet" with the withdrawal despite the chaos that has erupted, Dowd reiterated his support for the president "from the very beginning."
"He was dealt a horrible situation and as of today, he has done an extremely good job in this situation," Dowd told CNN anchor Kate Bolduan. "There were many people over the last seven days that said there's no possible way he could get 50,000 people out… he's gotten out 70,000 people in the last eight days."

"I actually think the president, for what he was dealt and for what he has done over the last week, should be congratulated on the way this was done," Dowd added. "And he's the first president in four presidents to actually get done what the American people wanted to get done in Afghanistan, which was to get out."
The left-leaning Dowd, a former aide to George W. Bush, previously slammed the media for its "way over the top" coverage of the Afghan crisis in defense of Biden. Dowd left ABC News this year after a long tenure at the network and now frequently appears on CNN and MSNBC as a sought-after anti-Republican former Republican..
Xinn and the marxist DPSTs - are totally out of touch with Reality
jut as some posters avatars of 'mushrooms'.
They are totally deluded- and no wonder the viewership shrinks daily.
ted Turner would be very disappointed at the marxist shill that is Xinn!
The only thing they publish - Is Lies - just as their nomenklatura Lies.
Keep up teh good work - fiden cabal and Xinn - you are making the 2022 and 2024 elections decision very clear to the non-marxist sheeples electorate.

Not if, but when any of the Americans that are left behind after the Aug 31 deadline are killed by the Taliban, even the democrats will have Biden's head.

You can almost hearing the wheels spinning if you listen close enough.
Are we really considering making Kamala Harris President?

Oh I doubt it. They’re already trying to change the narrative to leave vs stay, rather than how bad he fucked up leaving. Everybody wanted out, and that’s what the media will focus on to deflect from biden’s disaster.

Ugh..
Whenever I hear people calling for Biden to resign or calling for his impeachment.. I can't help but wonder... do they realize what is BEHIND him?
President Biden... then
President Harris... then
President Pelosi.... then
President Leahy.... then
President Blinken then
President Yellen... then
President Austin.. then
President Garland
Get the picture yet? If you are hoping for impeachment, cool-- but you might want to wait for the results of the midterm before you push too hard. There's a lot of layers on this onion and none of them are going to be what you want.

Biden shouldn't be impeached at all. He should be Court Marshaled pending Military Tribunal. They do that and the next clown stepping up will think twice about doing anything stupid. It's time this country stopped playing "Paddy Cake" with these stupid Liberal Democrats.

WEC - that would be appropriate - but fiden is jsut a senile puppet - doing teh bidding of the Bernie Bros socialist radicals.
fiden barely knnows his location.
KumHoela would be a much more radical POTUS - and nazi Pelosi even worse.
All three need to impeached, convicted, and banned from America permanently.
Grace hsa a valid point - all the DPSTs are horrendous for American freedoms/

That would be appropriate for dereliction of duty but according to this cite, a President can not be Court Marshaled even though he is Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces, he is still a civilian and therefore is not covered by the UCMJ. Too bad, I'd like to see it.
https://www.thefocus.news/culture/ca...urt-martialed/
Can the US president be court martialed?
In short no, a sitting US president cannot be court martialed because they are a civilian.
The POTUS functions as Commander-In-Chief of the military, but is not a member of it. Instead they remain a civilian, in observance of the US Constitution, which has a system of checks and balances in place to prevent abuses of power.
Firstly, since the POTUS is not a member of the military, they can’t be tried for violations of the UCMJ – the authority presiding over a court martial.
Secondly, this type of trial is used during wartime to prosecute enemy forces outside the scope of regular civilian proceedings. This scenario does not apply to the president, since they are not a member of any enemy forces.
And, lastly, on a federal level, the POTUS is the only office with the power to impose martial law – although the decision isn’t passed instantly and unilaterally. On a state level, this power falls to the governor of each state.
Martial law involves a suspension of ordinary civil authority that can take place under – and is limited to – exceptional circumstances, such as war, natural disasters or civil unrest. In these rare cases, the military takes over responsibility for branches of the government that can’t operate under those circumstances.
Since the POTUS is the only power, on a federal level, capable of imposing martial law, they can’t be tried under it.
So, we are left with impeachment and since only the House of Representatives can impeach a President, it is unlikely Democrats would ever iniate this especially since they know who would replace him. Democrats are not big fans of Harris, Biden was the "fan-boy" for reasons only he knows.
Now 2022, that's a whole different picture I'm guessing. If Republicans re-take the House, I can't even imagine that Republicans will not try to impeach him EVEN knowing who comes next. Question is, what will the Senate look like and even though I think that things are going to be so bad in this country on so many fronts all caused by Democrats with issues of Covid maybe being the only thing that doesn't make it a slam dunk against Democrats, that Republicans could pick up 60 seats but I'll have to admit, that is a long, long, long shot.
Considering all this, impeach him just because he deserves it but we keep Biden on til 2024 when he gets his senile butt kicked to the curb for whoever is left standing after Republican nominations.

HF - thank you - Impeachment may be possible in 2023 new House Session - but conviction would likely be a stretch
25th amendment ouster of fiden may be more likely and doable.
he is rapidly deteriorating - and aging is what teh job does to POTUS.
Still - "President KumHoeLa" - she is a worse disaster than fiden.

HF, no way the republicans pick up 10 senate seats. Like Dowd said 70,000 evacuated so far, no casualties to US or NATO troops. There are 5 days left.

7-10 is about right, 25-35 in the house.
Of course all bets are off if they somehow ram through their legalized fraud bill.
