There's basically two rumors going around the valley on this. One is that OnlyFans was seeking venture capital to grow and prepare for an IPO and that no VCs would touch them in their current format. The other is that some upcoming BBC News reports were going to torch them for moderation issues allowing underage and trafficked girls and in some cases illegal or borderline stuff like beastiality.
In theory maybe they think they can build a safe for work Patreon / Masterclass style business. In practice, I think their brand is so tainted it won't fly- as an example someone gave Sasha Grey is a Twitch partner with 929K followers right now yet due to her porn association her name is or was blocked from Twitch chat across the rest of the site! If OnlyFans keeps any NSFW creators at all, their site will remain on blocklists and guys won't want their wives seeing it on the credit cards.
I saw suggestions that cryptocurrency is going to be a hot play right now if this really is a banking and CCBill issue, that the next OnlyFans will be built on crypto payments only to avoid all the chargebacks and gatekeeping.
