When you accept that history repeats itself (it does), you see the value in studying it and learning from it. History is one of the best tools if not the best tool, to use to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past.

Vietnam.

Did we learn from the history of the French multi-year, unsuccessful war in Vietnam?

If we studied that history, we should never have fought in Vietnam. Fighting the people of Vietnam on their terrain was a war we, like the French, could not win.

So why did we fight in Vietnam for so many years knowing that history taught us that we could not win?

How much money and power did the military-industrial complex gain from those years in Vietnam fighting a war we could not win?

The love of money is the root of all evil. Follow the money to find the evil.

I was trying to make a point in another thread about how it would "theoretically" only take the loss of 7 million Biden voters to make a Republican likely to take 2024.

Well guess what? CNN turned on Biden. Could the loss of 7 million Biden voters be far behind?

Keilar: Biden's words on Afghanistan come back to haunt him

This is just one topic where Biden will start losing support, no, not from the hard core left but from moderates and Independents that voted for him. His approval rating on the border is now down to 31% lower than any rating Trump got. He is going to lose voters on law and order. He is going to lose voters on education and he is going to in the end, lose on the economy.

Biden Was Right

Senior defense leaders would then provide a far more optimistic view, one that often gave a sense of progress, despite the Herculean challenge with which they had been tasked.

Various critics of President Biden are engaging in fantasies amid Kabul’s collapse: if only we’d used more force, demonstrated more will, stayed a few months longer, then the Taliban would have adopted a different strategy. John Allen, a retired Marine general and former commander of forces in Afghanistan, argued last week that Biden “should issue a public redline” and that “just this announcement will help the Afghan government and give the Taliban pause.”

Agreed - the folly of military adventurism - a favorite ploy of DPST nomenklatura to keep their minions attention diverted, is a point i have written repeatedly.
Our exit from Afghanistan was inevitable - the Fiden /DPST fuck-ups in that exit are teh issue
DPSTs are incapable of seeing the consequences of their actions, or evaluating those consequences when they occur.

hence the LSM Silence on the Atrocities of their "new friends" of 'inclusive government " - The Taliban - Radical islamic extremist terrorists to their core - Every One.

And fiden is flying thousands into America - to further destabilize teh US - Think the 'interpreter refugees" are gong to be loyal representative democracy loving Americans - Most are deep plant islamic terrorist Agents - .

get ready for more terrorist acts - more jets flying into buildings - all at teh behest and Welcome of the fiden criminal cabal and their criminal Lying LSM!

'a' and 95 and zeroes - why not 'adopt' some Afghani terrorists to care for in your very own homes - You will be so proud when they bomb Your House!
