Manny-- Dude.. just leave her be for now. Everyone should have the chance to have a "growth arc"-- if she falls on her face then fine-- feel free to rub her nose in it if it makes you feel better. But.. she has been gone for a couple years now-- at least give her the breathing room to either redeem herself or convict herself.


Kitty-- I know I've said this to you more than once... let.... it..... go. Do what you say you're gonna do and put him on ignore and LEAVE HIM THERE. If you would just let his comments go unacknowledged-- it would do more for you than the attempts to go back and forth. He doesn't make money on this board, ergo, he has nothing to lose with the fighting. Whereas-- if you're trying to achieve a clean slate, you do yourself more harm than you could ever do him.

I told you before, the mods do not enforce the zero tolerance rules/guidelines evenly amongst all members, so no need to openly ask them to do so as it will fall on deaf ears, they have their own agendas here in the Dallas area. If your troll on this thread got the points for every blatant violation he has done, he would be banned on points and after 1 or 2 days of being back, be banned on points again.

I also told you that if you give those that troll you attention, they will frequently try to press your buttons. I have members that troll me (a few of them are on this thread) and I am talking name calling, cyberstalking, thread hijacking, insults, ect. but not only do I have them on ignore, but after they post on a thread I post on, I do not nor will I ever respond to the baiting tactics. It does not make them go away as they are dedicated trolls, will follow my posts daily and throw out a baiting post here and there to see if this will be the day, but I do not see their posts as often anymore.

One thing I do though is, every so often, I will for grins, view the post they do from time to time and when it is a guideline violation (thread hijacking, harassment, name calling, ect.), I will RTM the post, but again I stress, do not respond to any troll openly on the thread, and if you have them on ignore, they cannot PM you either. Many times, if you respond, then you are probably going to be the one who winds up with the violation points.


Since the RTM goes to all mods and admins instead of just one or two, you have a better shot at it being taken care of because there is always a staff member who is fair and unbiased out there. And from my personal experience, that person is not listed at the top of the forum pages of local mods for the Dallas area. A long while back, one Dallas mod did give points on a couple of my RTMs as he told me he did, but I guess since I did not thank him enough or to his liking, he probably has not done it since, but has given me lots of points and has also trolled my posts too looking for such opportunities.
