All that may be true...he may have been a shitty person....his family may be broke in 5 years.

None of that justifies murder while in custody. Now I realize there has not been a trial. So it is to be determined if it reaches the criminal bar of murder in whatever form but the city thought it reached in the case of Civil Law.

The ex-cop will be convicted of something, I am sure. He probably deservs it for something he has done if not this.

They will try to suppress any mention of Floyd's previous arrest record. They will also try to prevent any toxicology report of what was in his system (I hear Fentanyl) or any active infection (I hear Covid-19).

Setting aside any possibility that the primary cause of death was a self administered overdose and assuming that the police did egregiously and brutally kill him with malicious intent for which they should in any case be be procured : George Floyd was a societal looser and violent bad actor whose actual life did not merit "celebration" with three public mass gathering super spreader events.

If Floyd had died quietly alone by a drug over dose or violently in a a drive-by shooting in South Chicago, nobody would have celebrated except maybe his ex-girlfriend, that he had previously robbed at gunpoint.
