hirono
is it her tone? is it her substance? is it the look on her face?
it is all three that define her
there seems to be no love in her
just an irrational racist hatred

For the Senate Minority Leader:
Senator McConnell?

8 days versus 8 months.

My brother has COVID for about a week. He's 60 and in very good physical condition. PCP won't see him. Hospital won't see him. He has basically Obamacare insurance. Stay at home and take Tylenol.
The only way a hospital will see him is if he arrives via ambulance.
So tell me again how Obamacare is essential.

So the Whitehouse wasn't concerned about becoming super spreaders via the staff that they rushed this process through. No surprise there. Conservatives care more about this seat on the bench than the health of Americans. No surprise there. The president turned her swearing in into a game show. No surprise there. He called her a Supreme Court Justice before the ceremony. No surprise . . . unless she was already sworn in by Clarence before the show. I wouldn't be surprised.

From the little I've read so far on Dr. Meyer, he was a good man. His theories on the American psyche didn't make it into law enforcement though. Can't fault him.

Sorry to hear that.
Would it have been any different if he had private insurance?

I'm interested in his wife. Maybe not like I'm interested in Amy Coney Barrett, but for the following:
Adolf Meyer
American psychiatrist
https://www.britannica.com/biography/Adolf-Meyer
Quote:
Before the widespread recognition of the theories of Sigmund Freud, Meyer began suggesting that childhood sexual feelings may precipitate serious mental problems. Gradually he decided that the disorder in mental illness results essentially from personality dysfunction rather than brain pathology. He was chief pathologist of the mental institution at Worcester, Massachusetts (1895–1902), and then became director of pathology for the Pathological Institute of the New York State Hospital Service, Ward’s Island (1902–10), and professor of psychiatry at the Cornell University Medical College, New York City (1904–09). As he became more aware of the importance of social environment in the development of mental disorders, his wife (née Mary Potter Brooks) began visiting patients’ families. Her interviews are considered the first effort in psychiatric social work.
