Default John James is tied in Michigan

In an amazing turn of events, John James is tied with incumbent Gary Peters in the race for Michigan Senator. In this very blue area, this businessman and Army combat veteran republican is doing the impossible. Polling has James tied but Trump down by 7. Isn't that kind of strange....

Yup. I donated to his campaign when he first got some national exposure. I think the future is going to be good for the GOP. A lot of veterans are getting into the age range to start running at state levels to start filling the bench.

Who do the Dems have AOC, Pressley, and Omar the Thief of the Twin Cities? Please.

that is quite a comparison of the ideas and quality of the people in the two parties

john james on the one hand

and the likes of aoc, pressley tlaib and omar on the other

the question is with whom do you wish to be associated

John James seems to be an impressive candidate.

However, since the Trafalgar poll cited, there have been 6 polls conducted with Peters leading by +8, +1, +3, +10, +8, and +5. When all polls from 9/19 - 10/13 are averaged, Peters lead is +5.0. A James victory on November 3rd would be an upset but not impossible.

You also refer to Michigan as a "very blue area" yet I believe Trump won Michigan in 2016.

Yes, by 11,000 votes out of 6,000,000 because Hillary didn't visit. James is still impressive.

Trafalgar is a right-wing pollster.

That said, I think Michigan is trending NO MORE TRUMP.

Talking points nonwithstanding, of course.

Lightbulb Learn to sign Thursday

Learning another language is important. Sign language is an excellent second language to learn, though it can be a bit complex. For those that have already mastered the basic sign alphabet, it is wise to incorporate some standard phases as well.

While the Michigander on the right is saying: If you are consuming a beer in public while standing, you are at high risk of catching or spreading Muh Corona, but if you are seated everyone is safe. On the left you can see the proper international sign language for: Da fuk dis dumb beotch just say? Very good form too, I might add.
