I don't disagree with you but I doubt the selection of Pence moved many voters from "Undecided" to "Trump". In 2020, no one is talking about voting for Trump, or against Trump, because Pence is on the ticket.

This.

Lets be honest... we likely would have had a President McCain at one point had he not picked such a poor VP candidate. His team was in such a hurry to get a woman to compete with the black man that the didn't properly vet her.. and it cost them.

Pence didn't hurt the campaign. He didn't help the campaign either. Much like now-- he's just milquetoast. Nothing exciting. He's just a stuffed suit that walks the line he's asked to walk.

Now... me personally-- Pence is the final nail in the Trump ticket coffin. I don't like that man being one heartbeat away from POTUS. But... most people at the ballot box aren't thinking in terms of who the VP is (generally). The VP candidate has to be really problematic to do anything negative for the campaign on a widespread level.

Up until 2008 I had never voted for a Democrat for POTUS in my life. I went back and forth between McCain and Obama until almost the last moment when I decided that having Sarah Palin a heartbeat from the presidency was a chance I was not willing to take.

My point was that very rarely does a VP candidate help the POTUS candidate win but I agree it can certainly hurt.

Nope. McCain refused to go negative while Obama and the media bitchskapped him. At least Palin had some guts and fought back. Same thing with Romney. He probably had a better chance to beat Obama.

As I said, I doubt Pence was picked to “sway” voters. Maybe shore up conservatives and provide Trump with some political experience. I think he is and was a solid pick. He doesn’t have his own agenda and has been on the same page with Trump since day one.

I believe Pence does indeed have an agenda, sir. He has a record of actively opposing women’s health, denying climate science and LGBTQ rights. He was placed on Trump’s ticket to somehow justify supporting a godless, narcissistic, criminally dishonest buffoon like Trump for the so called evangelical Christians.

Fuck, Pence is opposed to women's health and actively opposes it?

Damn, I would think he wants his wife and daughters to be healthy.

Based upon that information, I'm concerned about him as a person.

BJB is just parroting the LSM Marxist narrative - and it is al bullshit - for example - opposing women's health means - in DPST speak - opposing third trimester birth abortion. Instead of supporting the 24 week compromise.

And the LSM beat goes on for the so blind they cannot see the marxist anarchists who terrorized Capitol Hill in Seattle for what they are - marxist terrorists.
