So 200 some Congress men and women heard enough evidence to impeach ( find him guilty in other words ) a President but unless we hear from 4 more people, Senators won't be able to make a decision based on the evidence? Do I have that about right? The 200 some Democrats could reach an opinion on what they heard but Senators can not. Yeah, makes perfect sense.

Schumer is asking for witnesses to convince the American people. Not the Senate since the leader has already made his decision before hearing the case. I can understand how that would defy reactionary conservative logic.

I wonder if McConnell and Graham will actually take the oath to be impartial. Or if they will even get the case.

Impeachment is to indictment, as decision is to verdict. Got it?

It is the duty of the actors in a criminal trial to bring forth the truth, including any exculpatory evidence which benefits the accused.

Significant pretrial discovery also is required to be fair to the accused.

Those things are among the duties of the Senate in this process and need to be faithfully carried out by the parties on both sides.
