history of DPST Party
BTW - the Democratic Party:
- defended slavery by fighting against the abolition of slavery
- started the Civil War
- founded the KKK by Democrat Nathan Bedford Forrest who was the organizer and first Grand Wizard, and was a Lt. General in the Confederate Cavalry
- fought against every major civil rights act in U.S. history
- opposed Reconstruction
- imposed segregation
- participated in and promoted lynchings
- after the Civil War, gerrymandered Congressional voting districts to minimize the influence of blacks
- Democratic Supreme Court justices promoted slavery in the Dredd Scott decision while the Republican justices dissented
.
The Republican Party was founded in 1854 as an anti-slavery party, established to stop the spread of slavery into the new Western territories and ultimately abolish it altogether
More Republicans voted in favor of the 1964 Civil Rights Act than Democrats
A total of 80% of Republicans in both houses of Congress voted for the Civil Rights Act
Only 60% of Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act
.
Carol Swain, professor of political science at Vanderbilt University
responses are predictable - all the leftists will deny factual history in favor of "What i feel should be"
Unfortunately, in today's academic climate, Dr. Swain just ruined her academic career by publishing facts not in concert with the DPST narrative.

You are becoming unhinged about this DPST.
Relax dude.
Yes historically the Democratic Party was racist as fuck but after the passage of the Civil Rights Act....the racist left the Democratic Party for the GOP. So your grandfather and his grandfather were Democrats...they passed their racist views down but now you're all Republicans.

I advocate against crooks and idiots.
Your trying to mix the Democratic Party of old with the current Progressive Democratic Party is crooked and only idiots will not see through the charade.

DPST racism is anti - white male and more and more clearly, Anti-Semitic.
The new Muslim house DPST members are on record with Jewish hatred.
Why do Schiff and Schumer coddle these Islamic bomb-throwers?

The GOP was the Progressive Party until the sixties when the Progressive Party became that of the Democrats.
That is just a fact.
Idiots try and mix the two eras as if nothing changed.

wonder what he does with j. william fulbright, avid klansman and bill clinton mentor
or me and my dog billy, robert byrd
the truth is as republicanism grew in the south, racism in the south went down
people turned away from dimocrats, from both the north liberal racists and the south dixiecrat racists
if republicanism was merely more racist dimocrats under another name, the level of racism in the south would have remained...but it went down as the the number of republicans grew...why? because republicans believe in the words and worth of the constitution
it (level of racism) goes down as republicanism goes up
of the long long line of dixiecrat notables, only one, repeat only one, switched to the republican party, strom thurmond

I repeat the GOP was the Progressive Party pre Civil Rights reform.
Afterwords, it has been the Democratic Party that is the Progressive Party.
Black Lives Matter will dispute your claim about racisms decline in the south. If we are guessing, which was what you just did, mine would be any decline would parallel the death of the old fuckers with white sheet hoodies!

The only way the civil rights act was passed was with republicans, so your pre civil rights reform statement is wrong
you are right about blm, yeah they dispute just about all truth
but if you mean blacks switching to the dims, they did that in the 1930's under FDR
while it was the late 60's and early 70's the dixiecrat hold diminished in the south
but the undiminished record of the dimocrat party being racist remains to this day, its just in different guises

Do you have a clue to what the meaning of Progressive means politically?
God Damn man , quit deflecting.
The Progressive Party was the GOP up until the 1960's....it has been the Democratic Party that is the Progressive Party since.
Progressives fight for more inclusion , not less.
Are there Progressive loons? Absolutely, just look at the MeToo movement. They took a valid point ant went TooFar.
Make no mistake, the Progressive Party used to be the GOP...they fought for more American citizens being able to vote. Just like the Democratic Party is doing now while the GOP is fighting to supress voter participation

quit deflecting? what?????
you bring up the big lie of the racists moving to the republican party
that's the discussion, I was meeting that canard head on along with all of your misstatements that you developed from, I guess, your "feelings"
as far as progressives fighting for more inclusion in todays world, that's a laugh
