Everybody knows how she won. The Democrats just assumed that their long term Representstive from that District, Joe Crowley, would win his primary. So everybody just stayed home.

Ocasio-Cortez got enough of her looney socialist goofballs to show up and vote. She won with a record low turnout.

Since it is a overwhelmingly Democrat district, she had the general election in the bag.

The requirements for a US Representative are to be at least 25 years old, a citizen for 7 years, and live in the State you represent.

There is nothing in there about having at least normal intelligence.
