The problem with the term "wealth redistribution" is that it's always assumed that the redistribution goes from the wealthy to those with less. I often see it go the other way.
While it may be true that estate taxes and marginal income taxes attempt to level the field, I find tax laws can MORE than overcome these. The wealthy pay lawyers, CPAs, advisors and POLITICIANS to set up tax avoidance strategies and tax policy with loopholes to prevent this. Some wealthy will admit this. Warren Buffet very publicly stated that he pays a lower % of income tax than his secretary. Mitt Romney admitted it too when he published his tax returns and disclosed that a multi-bilionaire payed a 12% effective tax rate. This is someone that was supposed to be in the 39% tax bracket. Trump falls into this category as well, that's why he won't release his returns, it might wake up some of those swing voters...possibly among other reasons.
For those that think trickle down economics works, did you know that the KINGs of trickle down...Ronnie Reagan and Larry Kudlow...TRIPLED the national debt? Genius to bring Kudlow back to recycle that theory and justify the latest tax cuts and a budget that continues to increase the debt!
Here's a question for those who give Trump credit for the greatest economy ever. If things are so great, why can't we balance the budget? If you can't balance your budget with 3.9% unemployment, a sky-rocketing stock market and 4% GDP growth, what happens when it inevitably levels off or turns the other way?
When Trump took office, the Dow was at 20,812. Today it's 25,872. That's a total of 24% gain, or 15.4% annually.

I'd have your 401k short the market for the rest of the week and then cover the short on Friday before close.
After yesterday’s developments with Manafort and Cohen, Trump is a dead man walking. We’ve never had a sitting President named as an unindicted co-conspirator for a felony that someone plead guilty for. On top of that, it was a campaign finance law felony related to the 2016 Presidential election. We are watching history repeat itself, on steroids. Only difference is that Trump is so crooked he makes Richard Nixon look like a Boy Scout.
