Researchers, led by University of Colorado-Boulder professor of aerospace engineering sciences Steve Nerem, used satellite data dating to 1993 to observe the levels of the world's oceans."
Why a professor of aerospace engineering sciences and not an environmental scientist? Because he and his buds know how to use the satellites the best. Not a layman either. I work in the physical sciences, If they fake the numbers there's no way I would know that unless they were extremes.
As far as everyday use goes. I know comets aren't fiery and certainly not shooting stars. Since they are basically "snowballs" (ice, frozen gasses), they wouldn't glow when they hit the atmosphere, no sound either.
Rather than assuming CNN is wrong, look it up.
Why would you listen to a news anchor? A half-hour news show gives you half of a front page of a newspaper worth of info. Which I can read in less than 5 minutes.
As far as being authentic, if CNN lies, ABC, CBS, etc. would be all over them like stink on shit,

I noticed they mentioned University of Boulder Colorado. It doesn't outline their research and the protocols used to arrive at their conclusion. Besides CNN is using any so called research in Climate Change and reporting results of said research to be the results of man's use of Fossil Fuels, which is incorrect and no Scientific Research on climate change confirms such a claim. The shifts in climate are much more complicated than man's use of Fossil Fuels and Climate Scientists aren't even studying that. They look into much more natural possibilities in climate shifts such as the Sun, changes in Earth's orbit, Volcanic and Seismographic activity all of which are unaffected by man's use of fossil fuels.

Rising CO2 levels are a symptom of natural warming... not the cause.

The was actually the wrath of God. He apparently had enough of man's defiance. So he culled the herd by flooding the land. He'll do something similar to that again, maybe even in our lifetime.

New climate change research indicates....
|
The prior "climate change research" didn't "indicate" a rise?
Oh, ok! When the research fails to prove what one wants it to prove, then by all means conduct another research project until one gets the results one desires to fit their agenda and bullshit.
What made the "sea level" rise before when all the sea animals were left to be fossilized in the Texas Hill Country? Not to mention all those sea animals that died and turned into "oil" in West Texas. Doesn't it just piss you off, Munchie, when every 50 to 100 million years the fucking beach changes location? No wonder you can't get flood insurance for your beach cottage!

Most of the people who believe in rising sea levels live on or near the ocean front.

I thinck mastermanmuncher is on to something. My bathtub drain is not going down as quickly as it once did. I am guessing it is because the water levels have risen to the point that it will never be the same.
I suppose I will need to raise my tub a bit.

News Flash: Land is sinking at a much faster rate than first indicated. It appears the tectonic plates are causing some areas to fall and others to rise. This is a worldwide occurrence. Stay tuned for further updates.

Until they get all the cars, furniture, dead pets, and miscellaneous garbage out of bayous down here your drains will be slower than the rate to which you are accustomed. It may take some time to clear it up.

hmm..
if land is sinking, and the water is rising. it does give an appearance that the water is rising, but its not the case.
how do you know which level is correct with those 2 factors at play?
