looks like the virginia legistature which was red may have flipped to blue.
republicans lost 19 seats and dems gained 15 seats.
there are a number of districts that are undergoing recounts.

DC is a little different than other major cities. It’s the Federal Government. The 6 counties that surround DC are now the wealthiest area in the country. It surpassed Silicon Valley a few years ago. Nothing of significance is manufactured there. It’s all about making money off the government. Most major cities are Democratic, but not the counties surrounding them. Except the big 3, NYC, LA and Chicago. Those are blue states. People in Northern Virginia don’t want the status quo messed with. That’s why Clinton and Obama won the state. Trump didn’t win Virginia, the incumbent Governor was a Democrat. Trump didn’t lose anything here. The Dems just held their serve.

Downballot is where the real gimmafucking took place.
That's probably how we'll look at this election. The "wall" crumbles from the bottom, not the top.
Haven't people been saying that all along?

I'm sure Danica Roem does not want you feeling sad for her. I'm not sure what you believe liberals are deathly afraid of. I fully support the LGBT community, unlike most conservatives. I'm sure SHE will perform admirably in HER new job. It's easy being a heterosexual person in today's world. Not so easy being a lesbian, gay, or transgender person.

Yes, unlike most conservatives I am very tolerant on the issue.
I did not know about the "Q" but it is to me rather redundant. Since Q can simply refer to a gay/lesbian person, yes, I know several.
"Q can mean either 'questioning' or 'queer,' Fred Sainz, a spokesman for the Human Rights Campaign, an organization that lobbies for LGBT rights, told USA TODAY Network. Either interpretation is accepted, he said."

Rather than condemning CNN as a source of information, why not add something to the discussion and tell everyone what information or opinion in the article with which you disagree.

Thanks speedy, that clarifies things for me (cough, cough). Who is in charge of deciding whether to add another acronym/category to the organization name?
Last time I checked, Facebook allowed 71 distinct gender definitions for its users. You and your queer pals only recognize 5. That doesn't sound very inclusive or tolerant to me.
The new genders being added to the list are:

The bottom line is you can't change your genetics. Drugs and surgery do wonders for people for a lot of different things including altering a persons exterior gender, but the original biochemical makeup of a person can't be changed. Do I hate these people, no. I am just being realistic. This guy sees himself as a women. I simply don't the similarity.

Yep, we have a variety of gender choices. What's next? Hey how about those who feel they belong to a different species.

George Orwell warned the world about how socialists use doublespeak to reverse and confuse the meaning of words to advance the socialist agenda and impose their will on hapless citizens.

Yeah, but even George Orwell never imagined a world with 71 "gender" choices... and to think my local Baskin Robbins only has 31 ice cream flavors!
I'm just wondering how many other "gender" options are out there, like undiscovered planets in our solar system... can we get to 100+? Hopefully Mark Zuckerberg is working on it. Fleety needs to embrace all of them, not just 4 or 5.
Just to be clear, assup is in a "gender" category all by himself!

You just answered the question. No a person cannot change their genetics. So if a person is born with the natural instinct to be or pursue a certain gender, how are they to change? I have asked before if a person is of one DNA and another external genitals, how do you determine "what they are? Or what if they are born with both as in the case of a Chimera?
