You post. I'll reply. It's called "Freedom of Speech"!

You have the right to get on your knees. I have the right to post about it.

Tough shit, little boy.

Yeah it's pretty fucking stupid. Fans can't spend a few moments of reverence before the game?

I got my "fix" yesterday watching a good college game.

I've got some Post-Harvey cleaning, unpacking, and fixing to do, as well as helping some customers, neighbors, friends, and acquaintances with their shit ... and contributing to the delinquency of a bunch of overpaid juveniles is not a priority.

They keep shooting themselves in the foot every day, which is what juveniles due, especially those who are spoiled and overpaid!

I saw some folks leaving the area earlier in their "tailgating unit" and they were flying a Texans' flag on one side and the U.S. Flag on the other .... PERFECT!

And why can't they?

No one should tell you to sit nor should you tell someone to stand.

Those are just personal choices.

It's really not so much what people do that's important, but why they do it.

Well ... there are some things people do that they shouldn't regardless of their "reasoning" for doing it .. or as you say, "why they do it." Because the consequences are wrong and devastating irrespective of their "rationalization."

So many people have said the past couple of weeks ... there are things a person has a "right" to do, but they just aren't "appropriate" and/or "acceptable."

Correct, just because someone has the right to do or say something doesn't mean it's acceptable. For instance Kaepernick was running around during practice sessions last year wearing "Pig socks" depicting pigs wearing police uniforms. He has a basic right to wear them. But his reason behind it was Anti-Police. Then he exploited that sentiment by not standing for the National Anthem.

Acceptable to who?

You should not care wtf I think is acceptable just like I do not care what you think is acceptable.

If you want to sleep during the national anthem or drink , just as long as you do not fuck with my right to celebrate however I want. Then it is acceptable.

When it becomes unacceptable is when other tell you how to act. Do we want a country of Sheep?

It is not a Conservative Principle to brow beat others who do not think just like you. People that say they are Conservatives need to get out their handbooks on just what a true Conservative actually is.

If you work for a company, you do what their policies tell you to do. The NFL has a rule to stand for the Anthem. The NBA stated they will stand for the Anthem. If a player doesn't like it, they can find work elsewhere. Have you hired Kaepernick yet?

Well I guess it just depends on how ya wanna look at it. Americans really aren't on the same page culturally, socially and spiritually anyway. Maybe that's how this country got the point of social injustice.

Problem is....if 30 players do not stand. Be hard to play a game without those players.

The 1987 NFL season was the 68th regular season of the National Football League. This season featured games predominantly played by replacement players as the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) players were on strike from weeks four to six.
It's real easy: "You won't to play ball. Stand during the presenting of the U.S. Flag and the playing of the National Anthem with your hand over your heart and look like you give a shit about this country."
