The hate filled political climate that you refer to is being created by the new Conservative party led by Donald Trump and his band of merry racist. He won the republican nomination by riding the race card and appealing to the worst of our society. Republicans were faced with a choice, sell their souls to the devil and follow him to hell or stand up to evil and be a true American by putting country before party. Guys like John Kasich kept their dignity, guys like ted Cruz and Marco Rubio and Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan put party before country and embraced the racism by doing so. All of you have the same choice to make, embrace Trump and his racist rhetoric or stand up for your country and denounce his policies. If soneone chooses to embrace trump then they are racist or in the very least supportive of racist. Racist remarks about Jews or Muslims or African Americans or women or Indians were made by Trump repeatedly during his campaign, he set the stage for his new vision of America! All of us have a choice to make!
