Yes, but it does not come close to the original Cooper's. Of course, everyone's palate is different.

Also, there is another great place a bit further south on that same street (Austin Highway). Bun "n" Barrel. Has been there for over 65 years. A BBQ institution.

If you willing to travel up to Austin,Le Barbeque is very good, trailer set up with benches to sit and enjoy their food,no beer, but you can go across the street and bring it back to enjoy, with your food.
I haven't been to Coopers in Llano, but the one in NB,is good IMO. Great beans, giant BBQ pork chop, and coobler, guess you figured out I'm a sucker for a good cobbler.

OMG, someone else likes a BBQ place you don't and it makes you sad. Are you fucking serious. The young lady asked for recommendations and she got quite a few but you found it necessary to criticize what others like. You're a fucking ass. Why not just recommend your favorite place in Lockhart?

The original Rudy's in Leon Springs is great stuff. The chain copies... not so much...
If you go to Taylor Texas (NE of Austin), find Louie Mueller's off Hwy 79!!!! It's a bit far from SA, and Franklin's in Austin has a HUGE wait (arrive at 8am to get food when they open at 11am). I'm a barbecue maniac, but I can't make that work...

SA vs Lockhart
Lockhart is the age old Home of Texas BBQ. It is easier to get it now as Blacks BBQ has opened a store in San Marcos. Beef Ribs to die for and can split one, YES, ONE! with a friend. They weigh in at around 2 lbs or more.
San Antonio is different and more like S. Texas... spicier... a hotter flavor. Also excellent.
I find San Antonio style is really nice with sauce. The Lockhart style is very into the MEAT flavor and one store there does NOT serve sauce. End of story.
