The next time the former or current President of Mexico shoots his mouth off, just Ask him how they treat immigrants, legs or illegal.

Perhaps we should just adopt their immigration and citizenship policies. They do seem a lot more sane than our disfunctional system.

I've been saying for years that adopting Mexico's immigration laws would be the obvious thing to do

....the problem??? We don't enforce the laws we have now....so adopting Mexico would make no difference if we failed to enforce those too!

Haven't seen one lately, so don't know if they still do it, but on the Southern Mexican border the Mexican "border patrol" would stamp their papers with a date and they had 3 days after that date to get across the U.S. Southern border. If they didn't they were subject to being arrested and KEPT IN JAIL.

If one wants to call it "enforcement" ... then I guess so.

If we stop their travels NORTH then Mexico has a problem, not us.

If a person wants to come to the US for a better life, there is a procedure in place. If they enter the country outside of that procedure, they are criminals. The first action they take in the US is a crime. That shows that they don't respect our laws, and deserve to be sent packing.
