I've heard enough people say "eccie" in enough different ways for me to wonder what the board majoritie's pronunciation of e.c.c.i.e is?

I say E-C just because I hate the way eck-e sounds. It reminds me of a child saying something's gross.

I pronounce it Eke-e, as in "eke out a living," with the concluding "e" like in "bee." That is how it would be said in Irish Gaelic, "hard" c sound.

Phonics... Never let it be said that ECCIE isn't educational.
