I can only imagine what Scalia's family must have thought when Mc quickly fired the first "childish" volley across the bow of the POTUS ship. And to make matters worse, Mc did so, with Scalia's body temperature still close to 98.6.

Heartless Bastard!

Bottom line: Mc couldn't even wait for the funeral before he began the childish political gamesmanship! In my humble opinion, POTUS gave Senator McConnell exactly what he deserved.

I can only hope that McConnell will soon be forced to eat his words in much the same way that he had to swallow the following bitter pill:

Mc's "number-one goal was to make sure that Barack Obama was a one-term president.”

Bamby, how did those "childish" words of questionable wisdom work out for Senator Mc & Cheese?

Was Mc able to fulfill his "#1 goal" to make POTUS Obama a one termer?

Or did Mc fail to attain his "#1 goal" when POTUS won re-election in 2012?

If Romney ran as hard against Obama as he is against Trump, BO would have been a 1 term POTUS. McConnell did reclaim the Senate. Not bad. Poor Harry Reid, most despicable majority leader in history.

From your link, an important point - basically both sides are partisan about this process:

In 2007, speaking to a bar group in Memphis, Justice Scalia reflected on what he said had become “a controversial, bitter confirmation process.”

“I was confirmed 98 to 0,” he said. “I was known as a conservative then, but I was perceived to be an honest person. I couldn’t get 60 votes today.”

WASHINGTON — Last month, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. delivered some blunt remarks about the Supreme Court confirmation process. The Senate should ensure that nominees are qualified, he said, and leave politics out of it.
The chief justice spoke 10 days before Justice Antonin Scalia died, and he could not have known how timely and telling his comments would turn out to be. They now amount to a stern, if abstract, rebuke to the Republican senators who refuse to hold hearings on President Obama’s nominee, Judge Merrick B. Garland.
Some people are hoping that the chief justice will speak out again, and more directly, addressing the actual nomination of an actual nominee.
It was not long ago that qualified nominees coasted onto the court, Chief Justice Roberts said last month, in a speech at New England Law, a private law school in Boston. In 1986, Justice Scalia was confirmed by a vote of 98 to 0. In 1993, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed by a vote of 96 to 3.
These days, Chief Justice Roberts said, “the process is not functioning very well.”
The last three justices should have sailed through, too, he said. He was referring to Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr., appointed by President George W. Bush, and Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, appointed by Mr. Obama. Forty-two senators voted against Justice Alito, 31 against Justice Sotomayor and 37 against Justice Kagan.
“Look at my more recent colleagues, all extremely well qualified for the court,” Chief Justice Roberts said, “and the votes were, I think, strictly on party lines for the last three of them, or close to it, and that doesn’t make any sense. That suggests to me that the process is being used for something other than ensuring the qualifications of the nominees.”
If Justices Sotomayor and Kagan were “extremely well qualified for the court,” it is a safe bet that Chief Justice Roberts has a similarly high regard for Judge Garland, with whom he served on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit

Bamby, you're changing the subject with more deflection on your part! This isn't about "Romney". And it isn't about "Poor Harry Reid."

It is about the Childish Senate Majority Leader, Senator McConnell! Mac & Cheese started this childish pissing match (not POTUS Obama as you inaccurately stated earlier) a few short hours after Justice Scalia's untimely death (RIP). POTUS did exactly what he was constitutionally obligated to do!

POTUS brought forth the name of a very well respected replacement. What does Mac & Cheese do? He did his 2016 version of "Number-one goal was to make sure Barack Obama was a one-term President".

Call Mac & Cheese what he really is, that being a fuk'n childish crybaby.

It is amazing that the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court could be so naive when it comes to our political system.

What he thinks are qualifications for the job of Justice might not be shared by those who do not live in ivory towers.

This time, it is all about the 2d Amendment. PERIOD. If Merrick starts with that militia crap, , or tells the Committee that he can't discuss any case that would come before him, show him the fuckin door.

Look Big Turd, whose being childish? The Senate doesn't have to hold hearings. A POTUS can nominate people out of his ass, it doesn't matter. And if the shoe was on the other foot it would be the same way. Big Turd is being a child here. Just take it and STFU. It ain't happening. And Bug Turd pajama boi, what are you worried about? Your Moma Hillary will win the general and you will get a more retarded libtard justice. WTF are you pissing and moaning about like a childish little turd? Now Big Turd, if you want to hurl names, have at it. You're simply outmatched. You will be reduced to the turd heap with Asswipe Ziffle, the stupid, dirty, lazy pig. Just be patient, 207 is right around the bend. Let the election decide it. Don't be such a turd.

There's nothing to refute Turdy. I've already done it pages ago. Now, go back and jump into a toilet where you belong. And, as Asswipe might say.........with one flush!
