Sounds like an hour to see someone else and an hour to clean up and wait for you to arrive.

Pushing things back say, 30-45 minutes, I would be less inclined to think this. Maybe she does have legit other reasons. Who knows. It seems too coincidental to me that she would need should an exact particular amount of time, one that allows for such a large window, where anything else (i.e. another visit) to happen.

Could just be my paranoia doing the thinking here. When I was strong into BP, I used to go with a 20-minute rule (I'll be there in 20), making it hard(er) to squeeze in anyone else before me.

Of course hobbyists always think if we delay an appt we're fucking someone else before them (God forbid!!) BUT we do have lives you know. Like, maybe a real one outside of the hobby.

It has rarely happened to me. The couple of times it did, after I got over the disappointment and suffering from self righteous indignation, I looked at my schedule and decided whether I wanted to or could reschedule.

The providers reasons are none of my business. If it was, I'm sure I would be told.

There sure are some great cynical mind readers here.

Shit happens. It is what it is. For me, depending upon the quality of the explanation, even a clever well presented lie, I say, let's rebook next week. If not impressed with what I hear, I simply say; sorry I don't have that much time to wait. Then that one is in the dumper.

I would have no problem with it being push back a couple hours if I have the time, but if not I rather try to rebook for another day.

Sometimes stuff just happens. Babies throw up as you pull out of the driveway to head to daycare and you have to go inside and start over. Ladies get so busy that they cannot go on without a break for a meal and the time it takes to clean up and be ready. Emergency manicure, pedicure.

Or she bumped you to do a regular.

If it happens once in a while that's just life, but if it's happening to you more often than not you're booking with the wrong ladies.

Plan B, Plan C, Plan D. Hobbyist have to be prepared for it cause it happens everyday. Tell me do you know a lady who has ever been on time ? Really ? Honestly ? 2 hrs is about the norm here in DFW. And if 2 hrs is the norm here then your doing good.

I call total bullshit on that statement. There are plenty of providers who do not double book and are always punctual.

If two hours is the norm I suggest you stop visiting these ladies and they will either shape up or ship out.

Unless it's stated that our time is tentative from the get go I would never wait two hours for an appointment, and you guys shouldn't have to either!
