So does latex decrease hypersensitivity to capitalizing a few letters?
Especially for new members who passive aggressively attack both providers and mongers in teams and over react to extremely subtle references.
I'm with Lil Monster and Utter Nonsense in that I don't see the sexy in being covered up from head to toe.
Human sexuality is a very interesting subject indeed. The things that float our boats vary to such extreme degrees.
It's expensive, can take 2 months to be delivered, and caring for it is a motherfucker. Putting it on is also a motherfucker. That being said, it's a lot of fun.
Welllll...it's easier to care for than a house cat, but more complicated than a fur stole.
Mostly it's that almost everything ruins latex. Salt, sweat, heat, metal, leather, light, perfumes, and some oils. So you have to wash it with something like baby shampoo or Dr. Bronners, air dry the fuck out of it, wrap the metal (buckles, straps, zippers, snaps, whatever), use a non perfumed talcum powder to keep it super dry while in a cool, dark place. And you have to powder the fuck out of it (again) and yourself to get it on without stretching it too much (because it can tear easily, even just with short fingernails or pulling too hard). Then once you're covered in powder you have to use a latex polish and a microfiber cloth to shine it. And the shining needs to be the same with every use (you can't just wax on/wax off all willy nilly). Then you feel like motherfucking Catwoman for a few hours before the constriction makes you feel way too claustrophobic and temperature hot. Make-up, lotions, some lubes, massage oils, and other sex stuff can fuck with it, too.
And sure, a nice silk dress requires care, too...but it's possible to drop that shit off at the cleaners. Two hooker shows (Secret Diary of a Call Girl and Satisfaction) have characters who wear about $2k of latex every goddamn day. Which, I guess you could do that...but you'd fuck up your skin. And it would add on an extra hour of dressing/undressing each day. But hell, if you're going to play dress-up, own that shit and do it correctly. Half-assed fetish gear is a turn-off.
The thing about such varied diferances in likes and dislikes can come from doing just about everything there is sexually so I can see the appeal, but not for me........yet.
