Gifts from SL versus real gifts
Since SL wants to compare ads, I thought I'd compare gifts. All in good fun, right SL?
1) Below are two pictures.
One is of a bottle of inexpensive champagne (I should add that it came in a box along with two champagne glasses). Please note the "value brand of the year" label.
The other photo is of various bottles of alcohol from others; I would like to note that the Salmon Run, while being an inexpensive bottle of wine, was brought back from a trip to New York as a joke (because of my salmon run special last September), so it's the thought/sentimental value that counts.
2) I was also given a signed copy of a movie by a famous actor (I'd take a pic, but it's buried in a box in my garage) and in dvd format no less, not even BluRay. I think a real gift would've been dinner with the actor himself. IJS.
Versus the books - because the book is always better than the movie, right? Books that were very obviously chosen specifically for me. I especially like receiving a surprise book (written by my favorite author) in the mail the *day* it comes out.
Who can guess which gift(s) had more thought put into them? Which is/are appreciated more? Things don't necessarily have to be expensive - but they do have to be thoughtful, and not something that was bought in bulk.
I, for one, would *love* to see what gifts the other ladies have received from SL's gift bag...

I google this perfume and it retails for 10$ Never used, but it is the thought that counts
I did however get a dozen garden roses and chocolate covered orange slices from a client once
Another time I received a gift certificate to get my hair cut and colored and money for a weekend get away
I love my guys that spoil me or take the time to do something sweet. In return I spoil them

I hope the signed DVD was at least from a current A list actor -- McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Pitt, Downey Jr?

I bet he signs the DVD's himself. I'm guessing he got you the Jaume Serra Cristalino.

Whoa Clair, that is a lot of booze...maybe they want to get you drunk? I do not drink (at all, ever) so it is awkward when I am gifted with wine.
my best gift was a huge debt a client paid off for me (was not SL, I've never seen SL)

Pfffft, that's not even a dent in my beverage collection. You make a good point though - maybe they are all trying to get me drunk! I don't drink that much these days, so it's all sitting around collecting dust. Maybe I should throw a party - use up some of it?! CAH anyone?

Nice gifts. Best carefully thought out? A generous second envelope.

My gifts are private and usually reserved for providers I see BCD. I did NOT see you BCD. You won a $1,000 shopping spree at a Charity Event. I donated this and also took you out to dinner. I brought you a gift bag. My gift bags are usually things I enjoy. I like the Sparkling Wine I gave you. I enjoy the small flutes that came with it in the gift pack. I'm very sorry you thought it was Champagne but it clearly does NOT say "Champagne" nor could it as its made in Spain. I'm very sorry the gifts did not meet your expectations.
While most ladies I expect respect hobbyists privacy and will not come forward I did make a point to contact a few ladies and ask them not to post in this thread to defend me. The floor is all yours. I only hope you will not hide behind another handle and OUT me or anyone else that crosses you like you have done before.
