Been watching this thread for awhile.

Economics OP.

Let's say this much. I work on things that move. Clients come in with something and I give a estimate. If they are happy I work on it.

Upon completion 75% try to haggle after services rendered. They think they have the power to negotiate, but I hold their keys in my hand. I can deny access to their thing that moves, and I can be a prick about it if I want to.

I despise hagglers, makes me red in the head and aim to misbehave.

YOU bought your Shiny thing, YOU have to pay upkeep. If you can't afford it, sell it.
If you are trying to nickel-n-dime me after my quality of service, I won't work on your Shiny thing.

Chances are, I'm gonna talk to others in my field stating that you are a cheapass expecting discounts and nobody will fix your Shiny thing. You'll be alone working on it alllllllll by yourself.

PS, I remember when gas was $1.119 a gallon, never going to pay it now in this day of age............ smfhlaughing

Reviews might be a bit of a boon in the early months of a lady's career. However, just being new is probably getting her more business than she can handle. What you board mongers don't seem to understand is that a reasonably attractive lady with her business even somewhat in order doesn't have to offer a review special at all. The reviews will come, whether she wants them to or not. Might as well get paid the full amount for her time. And no, a "well known reviewer's" reviews are not worth much more than some guy that only has two or three. I know you guys like to think you have your fans who ONLY drop money on the ladies of whom you approve, but that's just not reality. Any review will get her pretty much the same amount of interest and exposure. Hell, the occasional bad review can be more of a boon than another positive one.

TL;DR = Ladies, don't let anyone pressure you into thinking you need to offer a discount for anything, ever. Set your price, adjust according to your bottom line and desired income, and ignore the beggars. I've not once offered a public discount, despite people hounding me about how high my price was and how I needed to come down on it or fail pretty much my entire time as Caroline. I do just fine. But on the flip side, if you like offering discounts and that business model works for you, then do you, boo. Just don't let anyone make you feel like you can't succeed if you aren't constantly offering a "deal."
You've completely burst my bubble, now I'm going to have to change my signature line...that's disheartening

I sent the electric providers a letter and told them it was time for .02 a kilowatt.
Lastly I sent Beretta a letter and told them it was time for a brand new 9mm pistol for $125.

None replied. I guess they have their business model and can charge what the market demands, and it was their business model and their choice.

Then again, I could take my business and money elsewhere. I could buy the same model Taurus as the Beretta and save money if I chose to. If I don't have the money for either the Taurus or Beretta, then I should realize that sport is expensive and I need to find another sport, or go a different direction in the same sport.

At the end of the day, it's my money and my choice. The lady has her price and it is what it is, her choice.
1). This post is not about what the lady is charging, it's about guys getting compensated for the time, effort and benefit accrued from writing a review.

2). You have never written a review, so this doesn't really apply to you

but wouldn't this only really apply to new girls.

There are providers out there like seeskylar, Fancyinheels, Kaitlyndior, That have page after page of yes reviews. wouldn't that speak from themselves and they wouldn't really need to offer a discount for reviews.

I understand what your saying but i truly think your trying to ice skate up hill.

Girls will charge what they want to charge and their are guys that will pay it regardless of what others think.

to me, this honestly comes down to a "Bros before hos thing" Which honestly, rarely, rarely happens.

In the words of Sofia Vegara from Machete Kills "...Pussy Clouds their minds.

I'm sorry, but could you point out where I told providers that they have to offer a review discount? Also, where did I tell them what they need to charge? Did I say $250? 300? It's your career choice to suck old fat guy dick for a living, feel free to charge what ever you want.

Did i say to the guys that they should stand up for their rights to be justly compensated for their time and benefit that their reviews provide? Yes I did. There has not been a single discussion on anything financial that you haven't chimed in with the same paragraph telling the ladies to not let the guys dictate what is charged. This is the same thing. Providers shouldn't tell us what we will be compensated for reviews. That is our time, our risk, our effort.

And yes, providers benefit financially from our reviews. The majority of guys will not see a lady without reviews, especially in the HDH category. This isn't just a new girl thing either. Just like you all want recent p411 OK's, we want to see recent reviews so we know you haven't ballooned up or your service hasn't dropped to zero. If you really believe what you typed, when you move to Orlando, try switching names and don't reference your current reviews.

As I said, I'm not telling providers that they have to offer a discount, I'm not telling providers what to charge, and I'm not even telling the ladies what they need to offer on a discount. I'm saying to the guys that they should realize if they are going to spend more time writing a review of a provider than they did having sex with her, they should hold out on reviews until they are correctly compensated for their time, effort, and risk.

Maybe I'm not writing quality enough reviews or maybe I type too fast, but never have I written a review that took me so long that I felt I needed to be compensated for my time. And I work in an industry where I bill for my time (as I suspect many others do).

I see your point, I'm just not sure it's that strong.

As for the welcome wagon ladies, I'm not going to see many of them anyways. But, for those that are pricing themselves to an absurd level given no track record, they would probably be well-served to offer review discounts to get themselves established. That said, I don't imagine a guy demanding a steep (say $150 discount on a $300 rate) is likely going to be successful.

I did that when I became Caroline. Chances are you have no idea who I was before, and she had a stellar rep. So yes, I practice what I preach.

And I've probably only given the same speech to the ladies 2-3 times... finances get discussed a lot more than that, so stop exaggerating... it makes you look desperate.

I remember when I was new I was so stressed from all the constant chatter about rates that I hesitated much longer than I should have about raising them. It was no big deal. I did well. I shouldn't have hesitated. It was all these guys on the board talking about how they hate GPS and other bullshit that kept me from reaching my potential as early as I could have.

I want other ladies to know that the outspoken members on this board are a specific minority. A drop in the hobby bucket. It's just that you notice the birds who squawk the loudest. I'm sorry if my advice to newer or younger ladies bothers you, but unfortunately for you, if I WANT to put the same advice out EVERY time there's a rates discussion... I will. And you can't stop me. Just like I can't stop you from being enough of an idiot to think you're owed a damn thing for a "product review." I don't see all the folks on Amazon or Yelp or whatever demanding money for their reviewing efforts. That's something you chose to do on your own time. Not our problem. If she asked you for a review, you can certainly put your compensation request out there, but frankly she'd be a fool to pay it, or offer it as a discount. Like I said... reviews come, whether she wants them to or not. No need to pay for them.

You know, you could always just not write reviews, instead of coming here and whining about your effort and compensation for a completely optional activity. But, I've learned that those who write reviews, LIKE writing reviews. They get off on it. They enjoy it, reliving the experience, bragging, whatever the motivation. It's not a chore. You're just trying to nickel-and-dime ladies for something that you're OPTING into of your own free will. I'm just pulling the curtain back for them. Sorry, not sorry.

And I've met a lot more clients than you have. There are PLENTY who will see a lady with no reviews, even (especially?) a HDH. I had zero problem gaining momentum as Caroline with nothing but a website and a few photos. You guys spout BS about things you know nothing about and expect us just to nod our heads and agree when we know better? LOL. Just because YOU wouldn't see a HDH with no reviews does not at all mean that others won't.

Ladies, your customers, as lovely as most are, are not motivated to help you succeed when asking for review discounts. They're motivated to help their dick and their pocketbook. If they were trying to help you, they'd just write the review for free, perhaps their way of tipping you for a great experience. And that will happen, so don't sweat it. No business lets their customers set their own price. They might offer a few pricing options, but you can't just walk into Outback Steakhouse and say "I'm going to write a review of your service, so you need to offer me a ridiculous discount." They'd laugh him out of the restaurant. You should do the same. And don't let this argument of "risk" get you, either. They're already fine with the risk... they came to see you, didn't they? IJS.

ha, ha! this isn't a steak or food board.

does anyone READ threads? geez. he said he does NOT type reviews anymore. or did I misread that from someone else?
edit:
nope remembered correctly

speaking of Amazon, typing reviews there gets plenty of people FREE products EXACTLY for THAT reason. to type up a review on said product. I've read tons of them where the reviewer received the product from the company pushing it. so that comparison isn't very good.

nothing against you but most thing you say, while true, don't apply evenly to every lady. obviously you have looks on your side. someone who looks like ass isn't going to be able to take some of that advice and do anything with it. sure they might still see a few guys. and from the providers I have met and spoke with not all of them are constantly busy. then again, maybe that's the game. I'll throw myself as an example. there was a provider with no recent reviews but she was a damn hotty so yeah, I still met her. did wonder about it. others I've browsed and seen no recent reviews or just none and moved on. (obviously one provider was not on the same level as the other provider. sucks but it's the system). it doesn't apply evenly. it is going to be individual dependent.

also your claim, while I could careless about it, is vague. did you move to a new area? if you were still in Htown then it doesn't really count as members would still know who you were. not to mention a quick google search can find old sites even if they are taken down. again being a provider the majority of the guys are drooling over, plenty are just gonna go in regardless. (again, don't care this is just my damn curiosity)

"They enjoy it" = so, so. enjoyed more once it's done, "reliving the experience" = ha, ha. really? depends again. pretty sure some don't. I know my first one I didn't, "bragging" = true and false (false for myself anyways. for some, ok I see that. so again another dependent statement), "It's not a chore" = another individual dependent statement. enjoyment is received when it's completed. while typing it some of us put effort forth and don't spend 10 minutes typing up some penthouse letter.

just sayin

Yeah, I'd be butthurt, too, if I were you. That a stupid, unskilled female who doesn't know her place probably makes more money than you and definitely doesn't work as hard for it. Try to shame me all you want. I'll keep laughing all the way to the bank.
