Please include the phone number in ROS.

Seems her ad campaign is a bit behind.

It's all personal preference man once you get right down to it. Do you like the sweet caramel and butcherscotchy goodness of ex-bourbon Smerican oak cask or the spicy dark fruit flavors of ex-sherry European oak casks? Peated or unpeated?

I prefer primarily ex-bourbon or fresh american oak cask aged Scotch, unpeated or only lightly peated. If sherry casks are used I prefer them as a finishing element not the primary. The Balvenie Doublewood is an excellent entree into that. I'm a Balvenie fan in general myself, I highly recommend their 15 year single barrel (the ex-bourbon one not the sherry one). Glenmorangie Signet is also excellent. I have a ton of favorites actually man I've probably got at least 15 bottles of various expressions in my liquor cabinet that rotate in and out as I finish one off and replace it with something else.

Glenmorangie 10 year is the best of the commonly carried single malts found at bars and restaurants imop.

To your Rye question yeah I've tried quite a few different Ryes but I'm not an enormous fan of the peppery spiciness of it myself though I do enjoy a ryed bourbon from time to time on the rocks. It's not a rye whiskey but I recently tried Jefferson's small batch bourbon called Ocean:Aged at Sea and it was fantastic.
totally on topic.....no wait its not

^ And? Guess how many points I've ever given out for hijacking? None.

Know why? My personal interpretation is very narrow on that and the other "gray area" guidelines.

As long as I can follow the thread from one topic into the next as a conversation naturally develops organically I dont consider it to be a hijack but rather a healthy sign of a lively community.

When you talk to your buddies or someone in real life do you focus on one thing and one thing only or does it flit around from one thing to the next? Almost always you could think about what you're talking about at that moment and follow the thread backwards to see how you got there from the start.

Anyway, who gives a fuck basically...

Feel free to RTM it though

Since the topic was something about what are your limits or boundaries, one of my limits was watered down whiskey. Ain't going there. Good whiskey needs no mixer, IMO. Spice was just guiding the conversation sharing his experience in that particular area. I mention a good Scotch, he mentioned some better ones. I have heard of some stuff costing hundreds of dollars a fifth, another limit I haven't crossed...
