I think you're getting a pretty good reality check moment here brgontx! You are also getting a better understanding in the relationship between men and women. Maybe you might ask yourself why you were interested in the hobby? Is there a problem that you were experiencing between you and your wife that might be fixed? Should you even commit to a relationship in the future? Now, If you can fix your relationship, and if you still want to hobby, you now know how to be much more careful and smart. Always let providers know the best way to contact you. Text, email, PM. Not everyone has a hobby phone. I know a couple of providers who don't. Care is always to be taken by both provider and hobbiest.

I can think of many reasons the provider may have decided not to see you. She may see you at a later time. She doesn't know your wife. If wife sees your texts, maybe she's the type to stalk your car, discover where you're meeting, and confront the provider. Ladies prefer no drama.

As everyone said, the best way is a hobby phone. I started with a T-Mobile pay per use, but as a I got more active, I switched to a monthly plan.

If you must use the same phone, the iPhone has a setting to not display the text of the message, just that you have a message.

Luckily I am in IT, so not unusual for me to have 2, even 4-5 phones
