Last month, an Islamic country – the United Arab Emirates (UAE) designated two Islamic groups in the U.S. as terrorist organizations. Since that time, the Obama administration been trying to get those organizations off the list.

The two groups – the Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) – have distinct ties to the larger Muslim Brotherhood organization, which has been officially designated as a terrorist entity by Egypt, another Muslim country. As Shoebat.com has reported, the former Secretary General for MAS, Shaker Elsayed admitted the group was founded by Muslim Brotherhood leaders.

Elsayed is currently the Imam at Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, VA. One of Elsayed’s predecessors as Imam there was none other than Anwar al-Awlaki. One of the unindicted co-conspirators in the first WTC attack in 1993 – Mohammed Al-Hanooti – serves there today as a Mufti.

Another unindicted co-conspirator in the ’93 bombing was Siraj Wahhaj, whose mosque came to prominence after it was learned that the Blind Sheikh – the mastermind of the ’93 WTC bombing – visited Wahhaj’s Brooklyn mosque often. Wahhaj is quite familiar with Dar al-Hijrah:

Al-Awlaki, the deceased Imam who served as the inspiration for Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Malik Hasan, welcomed three 9/11 hijackers – and Hasan – into Dar al-Hijrah. The FBI identified al-Awlaki has having been associated with the MAS, as Shoebat.com has reported. Two days prior to 9/11, al-Awlaki spoke at a fundraiser alongside a confirmed member of the group – Suhaib Webb.
