A legal angle... knowingly "distributing" some diseases is a crime.

PM to folks who express an interest is the right thing to do, imo. It may be someone I want to see (or have seen), and even if it's curable and we use protection, there are other activities (such as daty) that I would want to avoid.

I remember one lady who actually had photos of another lady's meds. Thankfully, it was a lady I had no intention of seeing, but the guys who seek bbfs likely would have wanted to know (this was ~5 years ago, and that particular hooker is long gone afaik).

Even this is still speculation. Prescription drugs are rarely only prescribed for a single diagnosis. I'm going to guess it was an Rx for acyclovir, which treats both Common Herpes varieties but also is used for Chicken Pox and Shingles.

Please pm me. What if this is the provider I am planning on seeing today?
I deserve to know what I'm getting into.

A legal angle...(not directed at Dharma!)...disseminating false and harmful information about someone can lead to a defamation of character lawsuit.

Whether its in this realm of life or personal life you should always take precautions. I have been seeing a lot of stuff on this board that scares the hell out of me. It would be nice to know what and who but that is in a perfect world.

It was HIV. One could still call it speculation, since I had never met the woman and couldn't connect the scrips with her handle, but if I had been inclined to see her, that would be enough to steer me away.

I have no idea if the woman is still providing, or even if she is still alive.

Comments - re
The health department states that if a client engages in "that kind" of activity, he basically deserves what he gets
Inappropriate characterization of the County Health Dept.s - dallas, tarrant, anywhere. Medical folks are there to help people. not punish. OP owes an apology.

Re- hypothetical conduct. One cannot control private actions of another person.

Thank you for your post. I did call the health department. I did talk to them in a respectful and informative way. That is exactly what the person told me. I was really surprised. I called Tarrant county because she was working in South Ft. Worth at the time.

Conflict resolution/problem solving is always best handled on a one to one basis directly with the one involved.

If someone acts in a reckless manner that leads to transmission of certain diseases, there very well can be legal consequences. What is considered reckless would be subjective.

I wish there was something to be done. What are these legal avenues which have been mentioned? Honestly, I thought the health dept would take note.
