Ive always done really well on the island. Must just be slow down there right now. Did you give advance notice that you were coming to the area?

I go down... to the island. I bet many providers would if you contacted them ahead of time. Might be difficult if you expect a short notice or even same day appointment with any ECCIE lady who has to drive from Houston, and if you don't want to pay the extra outcall fee...
Heck, not even that many gals posting for the island on BP. Just not enough population or tourists to support the Hobby, I guess.
Wish we had a Galveston sub-forum. That might promote more rolling wave play out of the surf.

Better to be in a hotel with a sea view while surfing a rolling bed sheet. Cowabunga!
All those beach movies with the romantic lolling about on the eroded silica and deteriorated seashells never took into account sand rash and trying to extricate granules from places where the sun don't shine. Not pleasant. I speak from experience.

Yeah I always give advance notice but before I come out. I've posted here, 1st time I put up a feeler ad just to see, got a few rings. So I thought I would try it out. Turned out to be a bust!

LL is right; you have to be careful because there has been a lot of LE activity in the Clear Lake and Bay area, but heck, all of Houston has been "hotter" lately, and I don't just mean the ambient air temperature.
I have visited Galveston and done okay, but only because I had a couple of regulars down there for a while. I would get a nice room on the Seawall, visit with one of them in the afternoon, and if I was lucky, maybe pick up another appointment for the eve. If not, then dinner at Gaido's, perhaps an old fashioned vanilla ice cream soda at La King's Confectionery on The Strand, followed by a relaxing walk along the ocean with a pretty view of the Pleasure Pier at night. (That pier's moniker is misleading; no actual PLEASURE, just G-rated kiddy fun. For the cost of taking a date there who you HOPE you can bang later, you could have a sure thing and a REALLY good time with a provider.)
Haven't been to Galveston lately because there are just no reliable places to reach a target audience other than Backpage and Eros. (Not even sure if there is a P411 Galveston forum.) I would like to see a better option; would it be that difficult for ECCIE to start a Galveston sub-forum with at least provider ads and an ISO section?
