CD - I wasn't surveyed but I guess I am a standard deviation away from the norm. I met with a blond with big boobs one time sort of as a bucket list item but much prefer dark brown/black/auburn hair. Economically there are a lot if things recently that don't fit with normal economics. Based on the last 20 years, escort prices are now a bargain and I do think the internet explains that. I think it added a lot of supply at the mid to high end to meet demand that the internet opened up. In my business, a transaction a client paid $200 for 20 years ago could only be done with my help. Today they can do it themselves all day long online for nearly free. But some still pay me for service because, like you I imagine, I add value.

Statistics are just that. They just show trends, they are not an absolute truth for all cases

Based on the article i think is more like enjoy charging $400/ hr while you can get away with it.

I also found the general trend of prices going down interesting, especially given how everyone likes to complain about prices.

Of course, you'll have localized price differences (maybe Texas prices really -are- higher because of the economy doing better here?), but the overall data is neat to see.
