I do not understand ape idiom, and Ms. Tiffany assures me that I am not the one who is muddying up the waters here. She has no complaint with me, so by what right do you dare to insert yourself?

Perhaps if you and PM would stop being animals, and follow Rodeoman's lead? And honor Ms. Tiffany's thread by STRICTLY avoiding any personal atacks and keeping solely on -topic, no matter your inclinations?

And please do not be regressive, saying i am attacking you, since these are merely responses against a trend of personal attacks by you and 2 or 3 others that has to stop on the Upstate board. You will notice you and the named offenders are losing support. Watch the atmosphere changing. ON WE GO, minus you if need be.

P.S. A sincere apology to Ms. Tiffany and other participants on this thread. But these types of irrelevant sneak personal attacks of all stripes will need to stop.

Thank you. You are. This thread is one of the best ever. I don't know you personally, have no reason to "suck up" to you, as some here might aver. Still, I love the fact that it brings out the human being in us all, and not the vicious elements as some would have it.

Thank you so much. It is wonderful, for example, to learn that you love to dance, and spontaneously lose yourself to dance!

Dance is beyond words, the essence of creation, maintenance and annihilation, as so many eastern cultures have tried to express through their icons, sculptures, and motifs in literature and myths. Symbols and the rhythms of the body, song and music can express so many deeper ideas that words cannot reach.

I hope we can continue to deepen our friendships through the bridge you have created.

Yes! And also the persons or things that made me laugh so much!

Carrying over from what Ms. Tiffany said, in the old Ithaca Commons, now torn down, late in the summer evenings, young people would gather with their drums: African drums, and all other sorts. Soon there would be riffs and medleys happening, the different deeper and higher sounds blending in so well with the trees, the wind, warmth of the cement and the darkness growing ever deeper, the nigh falling ever more silent around the town. The beats, the music going deep into the bones. As the lady said, some types of music really get into you.

I wonder, before humans found language or true speech, did they discover drumming as their first form of music?

I thought of this thread this morning as I was getting in the shower. Finally got those flip flop tan lines...I LOOOOOVE those!
I had to do a lot of reading to catch up on all I missed....I've never gotten into gardening, but I'm moving into an awesome new place this summer and I cannot wait to give it a go. I love learning new things and experimenting.
I love decorating. Cannot wait to decorate the new place!
I love fires and cook outs, party at my place!
I love rollercoasters and anything spinny and crazy...I'm an adrenaline junkie. Got our first ever season passes to Darien Lake this year, went this past weekend it was so fun!
I love fond memories of friends family old pets childhood etc. The gardening everyone was talking about, especially vegetables, reminded me of one of my favorite memories...my grandpa, who is now deceased, was my hero as a little girl. He had a vegetable garden in the backyard, my grandma had her flower garden in the front (it was cute how they each had their own)...I use to love keeping grandpa company or helping, this was when I was about 5. I remember we use to have "cucumber growing races"...we each planted one and whomever's grew the biggest the fastest won. I always won and I was so happy. I didn't find out until I was 19, and he passed away, that he wouldn't water his cucumber for days but would only water mine while I was at school and this is how I won. Ugh tears in my eyes. I've worked at a nursing home for years and I know how it goes, I'm glad he isn't suffering anymore, but even though it's been years it'll never change the fact that I miss him. I wish he could see my kids now, he would be so proud.
I love being a mom. I think I mentioned this earlier, though it comes to mind as last night we had baseball and tball games, and my son's baseball team won their first game yay! Omg it was so fun. Dairy Queen after to celebrate. I love these small moments of happiness.
I love CHOOSING to be happy and be in love. Both happiness and love are not circumstantial or feelings, but instead a choice and hard work (marriage especially). I had a pretty crappy start to the week a lot of things went wrong, but I love that I made myself get through it and stay positive.
Have a good night everyone!!!
