Once upon a time, Ms. Tiffany, no longer, and broadheads. 60-70 lbs only. The composite bows here are way, way higher tech than anything I have imagined.
I should love to learn to shoot some of the modern crossbows, which is a weapon that really intrigues me. How about you, ma'am? I believe many modern commandos and SEAL-like services still use them on an occasional basis.
Also had very old Mauser 0.257 from just after the Boer War, a family relic sort of, now alienated, but beautiful action, machined like a dream, worked like butter.
I don't know for certain, but believe they used to use blocks of metal then and machine that entire chunk out! Wow!

I try to urge owners to take an additional step of learning to use professional flashlights that can be used as a weapon themselves [no need to get into that aspect], and to remember that in times of emergency, not knowing what one is shooting at [or being in the dark] can become a grave problem. Light can also blind and startle an opponent, an extra bonus. The flashlight itself is a tough weapon should the handgun misfire.
There are mounts for lights on some smaller guns but these make them unbalanced take away much of their utility. Small lights are not much use.
However, for those who are using the Glocks for security, and pardon my big mouth, I hope they will consider that extra step of taking professional instruction on using the light source along with the weapon, two-handed.
Some ordinary LED flashlights could be kept here and there around the house, in odd places familiar to the owner, but not necessarily to anyone else, e.g. hanging behind particular doors, but always within easy reach. So, even if you do not go in for the other type of flashlights, you have something to see and shoot by.
Sorry for the unsolicited counsel, but the absence of lighting is a particular issue for me.

Flashlight, pistol and ...... Stay right near my bed, please break into my house!!! I agree a flashlight is helpful, but at times having the backup behind it is better and makes me feel a little more secure

I am personally a pessimist, but not a fearmonger, having grown up in impossible situations. I worry if intruders have enough savvy to wear leather jackets, or even a light kevlar vest. The latter would be too smart a thing to do I suppose! But not necessarily the former.
Leather, silk and some types of polyester weaves, like rayon, do absorb a bit of the 9mm's punch, especially from angles, if one is shooting from a bed towards a standing intruder and your arm is at an awkward angle and you are a bit startled. Just helps to mentally factor these things in advance, as I am sure all will do.
A good pump action deer rifle chambered for NATO 7.62 mm ammunition is a wonderful thing to get to know, just for kicks, and become friendly with. A 21 inch barrel, is a good thing and a pump-action shotgun of this dimension even better. It is a most useful customer at close range for a certain species, although lousy for hunting. It cradles straight and true, light enough to be held in many positions, even lying down.
Useful to be taken in cars as a sporting weapon and not require many restrictive regulations. It blows a big hole without any doubt. Even kevlar etc. will not prevent a huge shock wave, a disabling one in the /chest region. Just point in the general direction and shoot, an advantage few handguns can match!
These are foolish thoughts, not necessarily practical for everyone. But if buying a second firearm.....
