I agree that just walking in is too dangerous.

The guy could open the wrong door, or the wrong guy might accidentally walk in. Cleaning guy walks in, "Hello." "Hi." "Let's fuck."

It makes sense to call on the phone as you get there and say "I'm just down the hall" and let the lady open the door as you walk up. Being on the phone also makes it easier to not talk to any neighbors or lurkers. Phoning also reduces the chance that the last guy or other unwanted visitors are in the room.

I've only had one provider do this. Kind of threw me off. I remember stopping in front of the door, staring at the number on it, and then staring at the text with the room number for a long few seconds. Its hard to focus sometimes. #fail

I prefer knocking to just coming in my home. But I try to watch and open the door before they knock.

This does scare the spit out of me. I look at the text in the elevator to be sure to memorize the room number. Get off the elevator and pull out the phone again to check again. Arrive at the door and pull the phone out once more. I suppose it does not look suspicious to see someone walking and messin with their phone.

If someone were to walk into my room at a hotel or the door of my residence, they would be staring into the business end of a cold blue tube.

One the other side of the coin, I can see where a provider does this for security. Imagine testifying in court: "I did not let this person into my room, he walked in on his own"

Uncomfortable with even light knocking .... I do let them know it'll be slightly ajar/on the hinge and to walk in. I had to add in not to knock still though because for who knows what reason some will still knock even though barely 1 minute ago I just told them it'll be ajar...I mean hello obviously I'm gonna be in here -_- lol.

I once had a provider give me the wrong duplex number. Things could have really turned out bad. If a provider tells me to just walk in, I will cancel the session.

It depends. Hotels make me sketchy. So I will tell a guy to just walk in. But I also screen like my life depends on it (it does) so I'm not expecting any fucktards to walk through my door.

With good screening I dont think its an issue.
I actually like just walking in, I hate standing outside knocking and visible to all prying eyes. Of course its not a deal breaker to knock. But if properly screened I dont see an issue with walking in especially if you notify that your there and coming up.

This is one of the main reasons I ask for a text/call/pm whatever when you arrive that way I can be at the door and ready to open it without you knocking the timing looks like you are just walking in like you belong here

I would like to add that you can use the "not knocking" to add excitement to your date as a part of role play. Like you pretend you are asleep and he just walks in and gets in bed with you or consensual/non-consensual role play ...HOT! There would obviously have to be a lot of communication and a certain level of trust!

I must talk to the client before he comes to my door. I don't want any angry SO's or any of that at my door.
