My wife and I are eager to visit Colette's here soon, but have never been and are new to the lifestyle (i.e. have not yet swapped, etc). We are wondering what to expect, and if there are any issues, strategies, preferred days, etc we should be aware of. We don't want to turn folks off, given we are somewhat new. Any insight is appreciated.

The protocol is to ask first before touching.

I think it's best to go on Saturday night (couples night). They will let single females in, but not single males. It feels more comfortable with those ratios of men and women.

I agree with Lolita. Saturday is the best night. The first time I went, my partner and I just kind of observed and enjoyed each other. The more we went the more comfortable we were approaching others.

So, the protocol is to simply approach some folks and ask if they want to get together? That seems easy enough, although I suppose the ease depends on the ratio of positive to negative responses...Any familiarity with the different rooms/themes present in the place and their functions?

I have not been in a couple years for certain reasons....but I always did have fun when I went!
And they did have a voyeur room with a cool round bed where you can have people sit outside the room and watch you play! April Showers & i would put on "shows" in that room when we visited together!

Yeah, they keep it pretty respectable there. I wouldn't walk u and say "wanna swap" but strike up a conversation.

People there are pretty comfortable with yes, no, setting limits.

Just go to check it out. You can put on a show if you like.

Or not.

No one will come touch you or her in the middle unless invited.

About 2 months ago, I was walking through the city heading to Club Ampersand with my girlfriend (Who is not a local at all.) We were cold so we popped our head into some doors, and BAM - we wound up being inside Colette's. When the girl at the desk told me the name of the place, I was excited. As for YEARS I've wanted to check out the place. Whats all the better, is that the girl I'm now with, is pretty much the first girl I've been with that is down for checking out such adventurous places. We're both quite the freak.

Well I have to say it was pretty nice. We couldn't enjoy it to the fullest as we were unprepared and full of "I wish we had this with us / toys, outfits, drinks, etc", We will make a re-appearance too. We sure had plenty of lookers show us looks which made me feel nice.

I do have one question for the gang.. I was telling this story at Paradise video and some guy told me about club Jasmine.. And he said that its better.. I've never been there yet but I'd like to check it out.. Any suggestions?

Anyone know the rules with phones and toys at Colette's? Specifically, I see that cameras are banned, and by default most phones are banned; can you still bring one but check it in somewhere, or are they not allowed at all on premise? What sorts of toys do others bring? Thanks for any insight.
