And did you also notice that in each and every instance, it was her simply responding to a cheap personal attack against herself? Or does continually referring to a provider as "fat" not register?

I do not know what the mods did in these situations and that is a matter between the mods and lex. In some cases she proceeded to keep going which would appear to me nothing was said, but to be fair it could have been that the mods have not had time to address it or seen it.

I'm guessing they typically haven't done a damn thing. Nor should they. If she was pointed for every time she responded to a personal attack, then her attacker(s) should also have been pointed for initiating the personal attacks. And if that were the case, JB wouldn't be the only one banned.

I rather open who voted and how. But hidden how one voted works better to get the spineless to vote and vote how they really want. .

Thank you for your response. I normally try not to address some things publicly as not to stir the pot. When I see a situation that might turn into some thing chaotic then I will speak up at times. In this case I could see it would turn into a nightmarish thing, as there might be some members that have an ax to grind against the member in question, also they could have viewed it as a free lets get him kind of thing. I can not honestly say that the points were unwarranted or ban was for that matter. The final out bust would pretty much seal the deal and I am sure he fully knew that. As far as a permanent ban I could not justify it at this point. In this situation he might have thought he was bringing to the light the repeat posts which are questionable in nature, and the intent might have been questionable. So I could see where it would be viewed as doing the right thing for his part. When it came into question and then situation escalated. Which lead to his anger/ frustration and to final posts. Emotions are one of the humans greatest strengths, but can also be one of our greatest weakness at the same time. Although he does stirs the pot from time to time and calls things out. He has in the past been a valuable member who has contributed information and call out the bad things. I know some will say no he has not, but for every one bad thing you do, they say you have to do a 100 good things to be recognized as doing some thing good. But in the end the 100 good things do not make a difference because only the one bad thing is going to be remembered. Well if you do a couple bad things, how many good things would you need to do to show you are doing good? That is some thing that is debatable and will vary depending on the individual perception. So a permanent ban might not be a truly good thing in this matter.
I do agree it would be nice if we had more participation on the boards. I remembered when I started here there was some good interaction between members both providers and guys. Some might use the excuse of the bullying as an excuse not to post. in some cases that might be true and in others it is not. they may only be interested in advertising on here and nothing else, but have that excuse to justify why they do not post. so basically the site becomes a BP for providers. it would be nice if they set a requirement that a provider needs to do some form of participation on the boards in order to advertise. i wonder how many providers would leave the boards because their free advertisements would go away. look how many providers we have in upstate and how many actually participate in the forms. i can only count on one hand the number of providers that actually do that here. even though i might not agree with what they might say, i still do appreciate and respect them for their participation. i am going to stop before i write a book. that is just my thoughts.

I'd like to see a public poll.
Let's see the size of this "silent majority" and who they are.

That's a lame attempt to try to blame the victim and justify cyber bullying and harrassment.

This whole thing went way too far with all involved. JB is my buddy on here and I have never had a negative experience with him. Quite the contrary, we have met in person and he is a good guy. His persona on this board is very different than in person. Both OSD and JB are the only members I have met in person and they were both good guys. The whole Lexxxy vs JB saga needed to end. Both of them were at each others throats and it was not going to resolve itself on its own. I give props to the mods for ending this. JB you are my buddy but this thing has gone on long enough. I hope JB comes back because he is a good guy and I value his posts. Notice I didn't say JB is a victim or not at fault, both parties involved went too far.

Doove I can not disagree with you. Your points are very valid. Does she have the right to defend herself if she is being attacked? Yes she does. Should it get to a point where she would need to defend herself? No it should have been shut down before that happens. In a perfect world she would not have to defend herself, but we also understand this is not a perfect world. The mods can not be here 24/7 to take care of things. The down fall though she faces in defending herself is she is opening the door even more for the attacks on her, also at the same time could be making herself look bad. This goes right back the the RTM thing. Personal attacks is a violation of the rules and should get the appropriate actions taken.
On your second point I would have to say yes both sides should get pointed. You will ask how is that fair if a person is defending them self from attacks that they should get pointed. It does not seem fair or the logical thing to do. In a sense it is the same action being done by both sides. If some one goes up and punches another person and the other person stabs the person that punched him/her. Should the person get off free from stabbing the person because they did not initiate it. Clear answer is no and in the real world the person who did the stabbing would get arrested to. Some will think this has nothing to do with the situation, but it actually does. Verbal abuse can be more damaging than physical abuse in most cases. When some one says some thing the defender will come back with the same and usually one that might hit further below the belt. So the situation would be the same. Though it is not physical, it is the verbal equivalent.
