Disclaimer: I am not "friends" nor have met Wakeup or most of the posters in this thread. I do know if you post something they perceive as stupid, this same group of guys can be relentless in letting you know about it.


It appears Wakeup has responded many times to your rants in this thread. It is also apparent that you perceive Wakeup to have some type of power or influence beyond knowing the rules and access to the RTM button that you do not.

Could it be that the myriad of posters here are not so much supporting WU, but doing the same as they have a long history of doing; just baiting people who start whiny pointless threads that have little to nothing to do with getting laid who don't know when to let it go?

Step back, have a cup of coffee and some chocolate and re-read this thread. You are battling points which means nothing in the bigger picture of things and show your bitterness over decisions made by moderators. What did you expect to happen? What did you hope to achieve?

Moderators make decisions all the time people here disagree with. To personalize it or let your ego get involved in it is insanity. You been around long enough that you don't even need this board to get laid. Why let what a few narcissistic personalities get your panties in a wad? Your time and energy could be better spent elsewhere than trying to understand why there are inconsistencies across the staff in their decisions here and blame the guy who may or may not have hit the RTM button.

DJ, like you, I wish the tone of the board were more civil. But the powers that be have decided that being a misogynist is acceptable here, as long as the posts can be construed as to be within the posted guidelines, with the understanding that a few of the more regular posters get a huge amount of latitude.

Apparently the mindset is that these are just whores, not women worthy of respect. (That's not my personal belief, but it seems to be the accepted climate here.) A psychologist could have a field day analyzing the guys who need to treat women this way in order to feel important, but that's not relevant.

I'd like the standards here to change, too. Partly because I'm a decent human being, and partly because I think we drive away providers who would otherwise participate here, and the decent guys on Eccie end up tarnished by the actions of the noisy few.

The reputation the Eccie community has with providers is not a good one - it's gotten to the point where when I meet a provider who's not on Eccie I feign no knowledge of the site.

I once made the mistake of mentioning Eccie to a provider during small talk during the session, and she immediately turned cold, and a rather enjoyable session turned to crap. She expressed surprise that I was one of "the assholes" on Eccie. I suggested that she not dismiss everyone who was on the site, but her mind had been made up.

In the days of ASPD, mentioning that you were on the site often resulted in better mileage with many providers. Sadly, when you mention Eccie that's often not the case.

I'd like that to change, but until the ownership changes or has a change of heart, we have what we have here, and we can either participate or not. I still get the occasional valuable lead here, so I participate and contribute. It's gotten better since I've put the most egregious offenders on ignore. Maybe that will help.
