How would a client know?
What would be the sign?
- unsolicited emails and phone calls
- angry text about not seeing them frequently enough
- telling them they want to them to see them off the clock
- telling them to come spend the weekend with them, as a real life capacity
- being introduced to family members
- statements of love and affection
What would be the sign for client, hypothetically ?

All I can add as a guy is love can happen anywhere. Being in the hobby does not completly preclude meeting and falling in love with someone. But it sure makes it damn hard. I have dated 2 providers over the years. Neither progressed to the point we wanted to give up our lives and start all over together. It might have with one of them but it was long time away from that. There were a lot of issues that would have need to be worked out and it never got that far.

Herc, you totally nailed it, (per my own feelings / opinion). I dated & lived with a young lady during my college yrs (early 70's) and neither of us had a nickel to our names. We were happy, life was great and we were totally in love. Ever since that relationship, I've felt the L word has had an odd attachment to money....in particular, the income I produced and how it could directly impact the circumstances of the women who "loved me".
If (Bill Murray's) Ground Hog Day premise was not just a fantasy, I'd gladly hang out in the Spring of 1973 again and again and again.......

I think if everyone were to actually be honest, there have been times we have all "fallen" for someone in the hobby. Not necessarily love, but things can get confusing. I have actually had to put things back in perspective at least once. Sometimes feelings can get the best of us. It's a game and there is always going to be a winner and a loser. Proceed with caution and treat others as you want to be treated.

And now you know why this awesome lady is my ATF!! Beauty and Brains
I developed a couple of crushes, both this year. I'm not sure why it has happened 2x this year, as I've always been able to separate fantasy from reality. One in particular, I fell a little harder than I probably should admit. He quit the hobby after being in it only a short time to work things out with his SO, which is exactly as it should be. The other crush fell for a different provider. I have never told either of these gentlemen my feelings. It's just not my place.

I like the answers in this thread. It gives us a tiny peek a little into what's going on inside for a few of you ladies. Thanks

As Kendall as stated, if providers were honest like hobbyist, most would acknowledge the intensity of feelings they have for select clients which can evolve into love. When you make love to clients on a regular basis, you cant help developing feeling of love but most do learn to control their love. You can usually tell who they are in love with if they discuss that client.

Your post went way beyond what Kendall wrote. She may agree with everything in your post (or not), but you took it at least a couple degrees beyond her post.
Or I could be completely wrong (I often am). In any event, no flame intended. Just an observation.
