This is true. I have tried to be newbie friendly because hey we all start somewhere! Somebody had to TOFTT when I was a newbie! They just for the most part end up wasting my time.

By scheduling appointments and not showing up. Showing up with way less than needed. Calling and trying to negotiate a .40 meeting. Just a few examples.

I would say no. Some may think it's ok, but if a provider gave you an ok, I assume she means you're an ok client to see. If I wanted or needed to contact any of them, I would just ask you first. I would only contact your okays after getting your permission to do so.

Here is where I would respectfully disagree in theory.

when you have a provider give you an okay... you, as a hobbyist, are saying " if you want to know if I am a good guy, this provider has seen me and is saying I am safe to see." However, what is implied is that since you are using this provider's okay, that it is okay for a provider to contact your okay for more info.

This is what happens when you use a provider as a direct reference. We email or call your reference to see if you are safe and is there any more info that we need to know to be able to give you better service. I like to know a man's size, both girth and other things! LOL I like to know about how the provider feels about him and if she has any advice on how to treat him. Example... One guy was very professional in his emails but I found out he likes for the provider to talk dirty to him right away! Now, I am not that kind of person usually, but knowing this going in, I was able to surprise him and he loved it!!

Bottom line is that we providers talk to each other about references, it is more than he is a good guy, have fun! And, it is to the benefit of the hobbyist!

So, do I contact P411 okays? Absolutely... And only once have I had a lady say "why did you contact me... I gave him an okay!" Of course, it could be because of the way I ask for information that I get great cooperation!

The best thing about all this... is that we can handle our business the way we think is best... and if it works for you, then stick with it! The other great thing is that when we share ideas like in this thread.. everyone learns a little bit!
