Please directly address the following simple question: are paraphrases of private communications permitted or not? Paraphrases have been posted repeatedly in other threads. Doesn't mean it's permitted, of course, but we need a firm standard. In point of fact, I was able to quickly find a thread in which you posted where another poster stated that paraphrasing was permissible, and you wrote nothing to the contrary. Please confer with your fellow mods so that we can have arrive at a consensus by which to guide our conduct.
