I do have to concur with one thing for sure, a PM to someone for an honest opinion is something I have always used...then just like now.

As far as the last few months, I guess I do disagree as I think this board has always been fucked up and I know I post a lot of BS...but hey, I don't do facebook etc, so I have to find somewhere to waste time...

I get a kick out of comments like this board is going downhill, it's changed in the last few months, etc, etc

Now I realize there are those who despise the humor and drama that appears on this board. They have their opinion....and I'm sure once they see signs of it, they immediately go on to the next thread (However, sometime I wonder about that.)

But the fact is....when looking at which threads have the highest views and posts, typically these are the threads that have the warped humor, drama, etc.

So make no mistake about it, whether your opinion is the board is going up or down....the appetite for that type of stuff remains very strong.

Is that good or bad....I say neither. Let the board find it's nature course.

The opportunities for info & advertising are still there. Now I will admit, those opportunities can be a bit more challenging than it was....at least when I first join Eccie.

The level of sophisticated players on both sides has definitely diminished on Eccie over the past few years. But hey, we live in a changing world.

Many People take the stuff on this board, wayyyy tooo serious (both in terms of being butt hurt or pissed off angry). Why should those of us, who do not have that problem
"tone down" our posting....there is no reason. Remember...it's just a bunch of faceless people typing at a keyboard. The amount of influence they have, is the amount of influence YOU give them.

The info continues to be out there....yes PM is the best, but not the only way.

Yea, there is a lot of bickering and belly aching....hey if it is not your thing avoid and "ignore" is your key to success.

Ultimately what becomes unpopular by the majority will become less and less on Eccie. Just beware, what one person considers trash, another considers a great time to break out the popcorn and do some fun, junk, and worthless reading

Fucking damm Summer cold since Memorial day, first one I have had in years.......but I have been getting a nice buzz off the Theraflu Nighttime Severe Cold Honey lemon infused with Chamomile & White Tea flavor

Verry pretty colors and sounds, I see!!!!

Taken with 2 or more Scotches, straight up, every day.....definitely helps the medicine go done

Vk, you seem to agree that the board has changed over the years, and I agree that the change is more toward half baked humor and drama bickering. I take information on how to get the best and safest hookers seriously. I dont take anything else on this board seriously. I wil admit, if someone says I disreoect women, I get defensive, wouldn't you. Just because a post started by one of the new dumbshits gets more views than a quality review doesnt mean it is a better post. I know I am not going to change this board, but at least we agree it has changed, and I don't think for the better.

Without question the board has changed....especially as more and more newbies combined with the street level becoming more connected to the Internet. Not saying this is a good or bad thing...just a reality of how the Internet has evolved.

And no where did I attempt to tie in the "quality of a review or thread" to the number of views it gets as being better or worse of a post. Hell, if quality was a key to entertainment, 80% of today's movies would not be produced.

Entertainment is what it is....and the hard fact is, many folks like to either participate, but especially view threads with the drama and wraped humor, just as much...and quite frankly more...than solely info.

And of course I can't blame anyone for becoming defensive about comments directed towards them....that's part of why I chimed in your favor. There is a difference between standing up for one's self...which I believe you did...vs. the over-the-top emotional bickering that many of us have engaged in.

That's what is the great thing about Eccie......people can choose not to involve themselves in the "non-information" portion of Eccie. And I know there are many who merely lurk, and then there are those who make small, but valuable contributions to Eccie (ie Jayhawkrobbie), and there are those who are regular contributions to Ecicie but basically stay out of the drama stuff (KCQuest), and then there those who both share info, but also like to keep folks on their toes (handles not given to protect the not so innocent.

I think bottom line is....everyone has the right to choose whatever role they play in Eccie, and not let anyone interfere with their style. But just because one person use of Eccie is different than another's....that is no basis of criticism.

Everyone needs to be a big boy or big girl when joining Eccie.... don't let other people influence your level of participation...this is not pier-pressure 101 from 5th grade. From that point, everyone then has the right to use and be involve in Eccie to the point that fits their purpose. Just because someone chooses to use Eccie differently does not make either party right or wrong.

Now with that said, when you post something....you own it. Don't be surprise if people agree with you, disagree with you....or more than likely ignore your post.

But to say the site is going downhill...maybe from one person's point of view. But look at where the larger views and posts on in the various threads. Your point of view maybe in the minority, lol

With the hobby and general population moving to the internet and more smart devices they have access to this site and others, it was bound to "go down in quality".
I was on aol back when it was hourly and we had great conversations and wide ranging topics because every minute counted, as soon as aol went unlimited (and the advent of cheaper computers) more people jumped on and the whole scence changed (trolls,kids,idiots,etc.).
More people know about this board thanks to May sweeps news stories and google. As always more people makes it more diverse, both good and bad.
