My particular situation was unique and confusing. I can't say the situation will ever come up again. I know enough to not reveal details, so I thought I was within the rules. Clearly, the wording is vague enough that there was a lot of confusion over whether an infraction took place at all. My interpretation is that one did not, but I am more than happy to abide by whatever rules, guidelines, or repercussions the staff decide upon. If it were not for my providing, my alignment would be Lawful Good, but with that particular facet of my life, I'm firmly Neutral Good. Given my alignment, it came as a bit of a shock that I had broken any rules, as I do try to toe that line with care.

As far as the issue of whether providers should be allowed to know the contents of their own reviews - there is precedence for this on other boards. I believe there's a huge money making opportunity here, and I have some great ideas on how to implement it, supposing anyone is interested.

I think it's widely believed that many providers are able to read reviews done of them and, therefor, do know the contents of their reviews.

Oh, I don't know about that, OSD. I think that people probably do have an opinion on this, but as you point out, since it hasn't happened here, no one is really talking about it.

I read the whole Houston thread, and the follow ups ( Thanks, OSD.... )......and my opinion is that Christle got set-up by the OP, to be banned, to make his point, whatever it was supposed to be. I could be wrong, but it seems like that is a pattern down there.

There are a few guys that I listen to, when you really want to learn a thing or two about hobbying in general, and eccie in particular. We got a couple of them here.....but I read what dearhunter writes very carefully.......and would advise any newbie to do so. And, frankly, after deciphering OSD-ese, you too. That's why I read that whole debacle thread....you brought an issue forward that needed to be seen........

well I was hoping to get theCFE to post here.
I still think blowpop should have been banned. But I understand why he was not. so as it is now you can give the gal you review the ROS. But doing so puts her at risk. When the one thread was locked, I think the mods miss her talking about the ROS. If BP never started the the Q thread, mods would have never seen it.

You are right.....Blowpop should have gotten banned for his part. It's pretty obvious that he started the thread to make sure the mods knew that she got the ROS. And, the whole thread sure raised a lot of commentary.......parts of it real good!

I sent theCFE a note and invited her north to visit us....probably not, but you never know!!!

theCFE is very classy gal(I agree with you). I just do not agree with her. I picked title with care. Yes I agree blowpop set her up to get banned for a few days. But I do not think it was his intent.

I'm still on a now dead board(for NY anyways)where if you review the op has the option of ROS in the open or in private(mmmm not sure about now, need ta check)in the review. (back in the ASPD days) I reviewed a provider, and left ROS open. Worked out great. But ASPD as ECCIE had ROS locked out to providers and males that did not have PA. Yet other boards ROS is in the open. I prefer ROS where the provider can (ahem) not read the ROS. I see no reason why all boards should have the ROS or BCD in the open. And I think that is what some are pushing for, open ROS/BCD on ECCIE.

So blowpop (as others here have in Upset NY have(passed and present)) got off on a loophole in the guide lines that are not the intent of the guide lines of the board(eccie). And as

theCFE did not get banned for acknowledging that she saw the ROS.........she got banned for acknowledging that she saw the ROS and there being corroborating evidence (BlowPup's admission that he sent her the ROS).

BlowPup was saved by the fact that it was his ROS and therefore his to dispense as he saw fit.......he incorrectly assumed that that immunity extended to whomever he shared the ROS........it did not and does not.

A hooktard (or fucktard for that matter) can shrill all they want that they "know" what is in an area of the board that they do not have access to. Until there is back-up evidence, it is babble.

A perfect example happened up here in Upset NY. A certain hooktard wen ballistic over subject matter that she said was in the Spider Hole. I was forced to investigate whether she in fact knew what was in the Spider Hole (she did not have access). She revealed her source (which was a credible source). Except there was a problem........the information that she was bitching about being in the Spider Hole did not exist in the Spider Hole. Therefore, my conclusion was that she had not violated any rule by revealing Spider Hole content and I sent her on her merry way.......unhappy as fuck (but with no infraction enforcement from me).

She was saved by misinformation. If she had gotten the content correct I would have been forced to send her on a short vacation.

It becomes the discretion of the modtards when it is not black and white.

The lines between hooktard areas and fucktard areas need to be enforced.......it keeps the wolves at bay.

well we do have this gem Pseudo Pimpin' going on. At first I was in heh wtf, then reread it all a few times. Oh I see what going on, more of the same BS I was shot down pointing out before. Along with a few others.

With this thread I'm going after WK's. giving up ROS and ML. Yet in a small way both are linked. The other thread is warring about one. When in fact it is more than one. Here in Upset NY there is a long list of gals mmm not all but many ahhh 1/2 it seems. Do not dare say any of the bad points of a gal. Or get the forever WKed. In Upset its to the point even with a "yes" do not say a thing negative. Do not even try a NO, the ROS will get outed in the thread so much that it seems no warnings or points are ever given. Even on a first time reviewed BP gal. As the flavor of the month/s get all the info and glory.

One male member yelled at me for not reading ROS's in reviews of many gals. Well no pint in reading some as some seem to get away with BS with one gal but do not say a word on the flavor.
Upset is about useless to half the gals and about the same for the guys.
