I guess since wakeup got off his 'I hate fucking fat asses' pedestal, maybe you decided to get back on yours. Then again, I detest people smoking cigarettes and cigars as much as you hate fucking fat asses. I don't see a difference between a nicotine addiction vs. a food addiction, at the end of the day, both are bad, meaning as long as you smoke you're no better than some obese person. Hopefully you do everybody a favor and keep your second hand poison away from them.

Pot.......kettle.

If you never believed anything I ever posted over the years you've been on this board, believe this, you and that stupid hate filled thread had absolutely nothing at all to do with my weight loss.

It looks like what your oversized ego may think is totally different than reality.

That football player who is 6'6" and ripped at 300 pounds isn't obese while some 5'10" dude is obese at 260 pounds.
I think this could probably be done with a combination of BMI/waist circumference/body fat %. None of those are absolute, but taken together, it's a reasonable way to draw guidelines.

It does not matter whether I'm fat or not, but it is quite obvious you have a fat head filled with hate. No second post. I'm learning and thanks for the tip

Smoking is really bad for your health, period. If you ever smoke around a pet dog or cat, you will notice an animal will avoid the smoke because of the toxic fumes. I realize it is extremely addictive but even one cigarette is horrible, filtered or not. Excessive body fat is just as toxic to your vital organs, bloodflow and circulation. You have no idea how much stress excess bodyfat causes to your overall functioning until you take a brisk walk of a mile or so with properly soled shoes and endure the discomfort of this most basic aerobic workout.

I am glad that fast food resturants now have to display calorie content. Most menu items at a drivethru have more calories in one meal serving than what you should be consuming all day. It takes vigilance and education and commitment to eat properly. 5 yrs. ago, I quit drinking diet soda and switched to iced tea. Any drink that sits in a can or unrefridgerated on a shelf is unhealthy, even artificially sweetened without caffeine. White bread, pasta and rice as well as milk over 1% fat is not good. You have to think of your daily intake in these terms: Whole grains, unprocessed fruits and vegetables and avoid any type of fat that hardens when refridgerated like fat from meats. Cooking with crisco instead of vegetable oil is also harmful. You also have to choose veggies with alot of color, avoid iceburg lettuce and potatoes. If you discipine yourself to eat a low fat healthy diet for a few days, you will notice a difference in how much better unprocessed food tastes. Using lots of seasoning instead of sodium really helps. Forcing yourself to take a walk of a mile or longer everyday (wear sturdy shoes) helps you feel energized and if you do that everyday for a week you will notice your clothes fit better and your mood brightens.

Thank you for a really great "nice" way of responding to the subject. Getting healthy and eating right in every way makes so much difference. Our food has been so messed up and getting back to whole foods without all the foreign substances has made a huge difference for me as well. My dad smoked most of his adult life and died 10 years prematurely from it, So I'm also full aware of the dangers of smoking. Alcohol will destroy your life as well, just ask the kids (two daughters) of a single dad whose mom refused to quit drinking away her adult life. Using some respect and yes concern for people in your response as you have done will go way further than just spewing hate like some... Thanks.

I think both methods will have positive effects. Ever seen how the military handles things. In a lot of ways it has positive effects as well as negative. We all just prefer people to be nice. Ever seen a child that was raised in a loving family go down a completely wrong path?

Being nice isn't always the right way.

We all have our "issues" that we grapple with. I am grateful that I never got addicted to tobacco and alcohol. Both parents and a sibling did, not sure why I didn't. I used to love McDonald's double cheeseburgers, polished them off with a shake. Then I saw the movie "Supersize Me" and that really scared me. I have never been an athlete but I have always enjoyed outdoor hikes and swimming. Instead of forcing myself into a workout repetition that I will never follow, I just decided to take a long brisk walk instead. After finally finding supportive shoes that had proper arch support, I began aerobic walking ( that's walking briskly, moving your arms and taking long strides, not stopping for at least a mile or 1.5 miles). Learning about basic nutrition and reading food labels is essential. Aside from my McDonald's indiscretions, I had always eaten a healthy diet all my life thanks to my mom who was a dietary nutrition counselor who constantly talked to me about it. There are so many people in the south who grow up eating fried food and that's been ingrained.

I have two neighbors, both women in their early 50's, and both have tiny, slender builds. One of them is a chain smoker who cannot quit. She is chronically ill and never exersizes. The other one doesn't smoke and jogs regularly. She seems alot healthier than the smoker.

ahhhhhhhhhh yes, no doubt every prisoner in the Texas system wasn't raised in a bad home. People make choices and the good 12 year old kid is in the slammer at 40 for a multitude of reasons.

Nor is getting up on a high pedestal and using terms like fatties, fat asses, etc. All this does is put people on the defensive and make things far worse.

You'd be surprised...the results I get. Disbelieve all you want...my comments have caused a dozen people here to lose weight...I get the PMs all the time...

Fact is, the vast majority of people need to be told what to do...because they're worthless...I facilitate that...heaven knows why I even try to help these idiots, I guess I'm just a philanthropist...

Since I don't want to risk getting points for telling you exactly what I feel, I will just state that you're a 'work of art with a giant ego'.

So a vast majority of people are worthless..................... ...............how sad your insignificant life must be.

No...how sad their insignificant lives ARE...I've seen it all my life. All they have to do is take control...of something so simple as themselves...and they can't...

That's what makes them insignificant...they can't control themselves, so they'll never control anything, anywhere, in the old around them...
