Oh R.R, I wish I had my key board so I could type as fast as I think, lol (alas, im tapping on a tablet). Being raised christian, I will be open and admit, I was geared towards creationism. The world is only 6, 000 yrs, ..etc, etc. I was made to memorize the king james version of the bible by heart, I've "saved souls" because I truly believed (taught) it was the right thing. ...TO BE Coninued.....

How do you explain the fossilized bones of animals that are millions of years old ? Certainly the age of stuff can be compared , and these bones are much older than the pyramids . Or maybe petrified wood from Giant Redwoods ? Or how about all that's known about genetics , and the effects of continued inbreeding for extended periods of time ? Can you really buy all humankind came from a single couple ( Adam & Eve ) ? And then even more inbreeding with The Great Flood ? And really 2 of every animal gathered up and put on a single craft , without killing each other ? You couldn't do that with a fleet of modern Air Craft Carriers !

...and when I became a young adult, my eyes opened. I saw the feirce hypocrisy, abuse,...the list goes on and on. So I thought for sure, my religion, christianity was possibly the wrong one. What did I do? I searched, and I studied every other religion out there. You know what I found? Most have the same principles. Be kind, honest, love. But do we, as a whole do that? ...I am still the same fuck up that I was yesterday, but I have come to this conclussion,....we all have our opinions, beliefs and/or ideas about "life", but who am I to say which is the "only/correct" way. In my opinion, there is a "higher-power". God is "love", and you will only find that "within". ...xo

For the very dull tools ^^^^ in this shed .
debate[ dih-beyt ]
noun
1. a discussion, as of a public question in an assembly, involving opposing viewpoints: a debate in the Senate on farm price supports.
2. a formal contest in which the affirmative and negative sides of a proposition are advocated by opposing speakers.
3. deliberation; consideration.
Well Joan it seems impossible to have a debate , Texas seems to shine through on every post ! Easy to see where the ranking of the 5th worst public school system in the U.S. comes from . Guess it could have been worse ...... we could have attempted this in Mississippi . We'll have to do this privately , as it seems we are the only ones on this site that know of the definition !

Need a New topic. This one never comes to conclusion. Its always "there is a God"..."No there isn't, heres a fossil"..."Yes, God created dinosaurs"..."No he didn't"... Man has always been in Adam & Eve form"..."No he wasn't, he evolved"..."Atheist"..."Holy Roller"..."I know it in my heart"...."I have carbon picture proof"...
If you believe in God, you won't change your mind...If you believe in evolution, you won't change your mind.

Debate is taking a subject , and debating a side whether or not you believe in it ! In school debates you are assigned pro or con , it's not your choice ! An educated person has the ability to build an argument , simply by using facts to support their argument as they see it . She never said she wanted a structured political debate , whereby you argue issues to be voted on by their popularity !

"On the 6th day God created my nuts...said "it is good"...and rested".
Which brings up a point. If God is omnipotent, why did he need to take time off?

Because fabricating BS stories when you don't exist is hard work ! My guess is he , she , or it has every day off . Of course Joan's statement led me to think more of spiritualism , and not so much of a divine creator of all you see !

What if he only created SOME of what you see? Maybe he is limited to certain things?
And what is this Father & Son thing with the immaculate conception?
Did John really BUY the idea that hs wife was pure but with child? What if she was providing on the side? (Times ere tight, remember, they couldn't even spring for a Motel 6 opting instead to sleep in a stinky manger)...IN inquiring minds want to know who the babby daddy is.

Ah, Joan...you have unlocked the key to a successful and happy life! All religions are about the same thing - controlling the masses. On top of that, you are drop-dead gorgeous! I'm a native Texan (7th or 8th generation, not quite sure), but I graduated from high school in Canada and traveled the world as an Air Force kid, and later as a GI. Spirituality is far more important than religiousity, which is what most of the hypocrites around here display. For me, it's simple - be kind, be grateful, be generous, be patient, and don't blame anyone - especially yourself. All the rest is dogma and mythology. I believe nothing - everything must be tested and proven. That's science. Faith requires no proof, and is easily twisted to suit the 'morality du jour', which is just as likely political. What you suggest is rating your fellow humans ethically, and I agree wholeheartedly. I would love to have a long, deep conversation with you - you sound fascinating. Perhaps some long, deep kisses, as well!
