As I paused on my way to ECCIE this morning, I came accross this article/photo play about porn stars and makeup.

Actually, most of them don't look so bad without the paint. Ever see the pics that some of the scandal mags post of the major "Hollywood" stars in this situation? Some of them look much worse than these girls. I remember seeing some pics of Heather Locklear a few years ago that were absolutely terrifying. And that is without considering her big cellulite-ridden ass that they showed also.

Still, it is quite impressive how much a skilled makeup artist can change someone's appearance!

Some look rough but who knows if its 5 in the morning or whatever. There was a girl on you tube who did a comedy thing on what girls do to get ready for guys. She was pretty before but the transformation was huge.

I don't mean to be superficial but I'll take the made up versions any day! Now if the body on the lady is smokin' hot, I could care less what she looks like.

I will now await the pending verbal storm that will rain down on me for the above comment.

That's what I was thinking. Plus, without makeup some people probably just take bad pictures. There are probably like 4 good pictures of me taken in the last 10 years. The rest usually come out looking horrible. Maybe I should start wearing makeup.

Yes, we ALL have our moments where we look way worse than we normally do. One disturbing thing, though - some of the "before" pics look like these girls have obvious PT issues (whatta surprise!).

A lot of these girls don't look so good "after" either. I mean... different looks appeal to different people, certainly.... but many of the big porn girls are not very attractive no matter when you look at them. Women like Nikki, Anita, and Faith have nothing to worry about!

Cameron Diaz is another one who looks horrible when caught "off guard."

Make-up certainly helped, but I think the "before" photos were purposely chosen to be unflattering to dramatize the contrast with the "after" ones.

Very true! That is always done in these types of things. One of the biggest things that they play with, in addition to makeup, is lighting. Anyone who has ever taken more than a couple of snapshots knows that bad lighting can make anyone look horrible. Surprisingly, though, they did not play that game much with the few pics I looked at in the links in this thread.

And lighting works both ways. Why do you think SC stages are lit in red and blue? It covers a lot of blemishes and other "battle scars."

Oh.... and ditto on the point about Cameron Diaz. Man, she can look like a real dog sometimes. Heather Graham is another.
