USERNAMES and their ORIGINS?
I was looking at some of the clever names our members ( men and women alike ) use and it led me to wonder... how did you come up with yours? What does it mean ( if anything...)
Everyone probably knows where the "LOVELACE" portion of mine originated... but Ginger? I assume it is probably chalked up to the red hair. But... that isn't the reason Ginger was born...
My favorite movie of ALL TIME is Casino. Sharon Stone plays the character of Ginger, the " best, and most well liked hustler in Las Vegas." Robert De Niro says, " Ginger had the hustler's code. She knew how to take care of people, and that is what it's all about."
Of course she doesn't fare well at the end of the movie, however, at the top of her game, Ginger was a force to reckon with.

I got my name from the strip club when I first started working there. I was new and they named me Malaya because they said I looked exotic. I've kept it since then. I haven't really thought about changing it until the past year. But nah....too much hassle. I do wish it fit my personality more though.

Mine is a synonym of the nickname my family and friends called me as the kids were growing up. I didn't really spend too much time thinking about it or the impact it might have on my personality online. The avatar I chose seems to be more memorable than my handle, for some reason.

There was a thread in the national section from way back when discussing this same topic. I think it was directed more towards the hobbiest, but if I recall correctly, both ladies and gents were chiming in.

Malaya... I wondered where that name came from. Def don't change it. It's unique and exotic fo sho. My stripper name was " Sky " becasuse I drank Sky vodka the entire duration of my shifts lmao.
Marcus... I think I figured yours out lol
Rover... your avatar should be the same doggy on the cards bwhaha

Avatars are not the same thing as an online username/handle, nushi. Many on this board frequently change their avatar while maintaining the same username/handle. While I appreciate the reference to the previous link, it seems like you are trying to squash discussion started by Ginger in favor of an old thread by someone you prefer on a different subject altogether. Why ya hatin' on Ginger?
Now if we really want to have fun, we can discuss the meanings and implications of username/handles and the different avatars used to represent them, along with the subsequent need to change those avatars depending on what?
BTW, I like your name as well Malaya. It is memorable, and not another look alike name.

<----------------------------- Been hated on all her life. Made her who she is today. Already said I get it but bring on the flames those of you who wish to do so. I can take it. :-)

When I was registering on this site, the blood left my brain for other parts hence the mis-spelling.
I thought it was a good thread choice Ginger!

Mine came from a manager at Blockbuster when I was making an account for Blockbuster online . Had to make up an email account , which isn't even something I used . Poor guy that had rockerrick as his email account probably got spammed to death ! Anyway I just kept it . Of course I got bored and changed to song names / DIE HARD , Capt. Howdy , rocketride , The Rover . Hahahaha admin mod surfindick hates me ! I can't change anymore ! So now I just change avatar and sig all the time .

Mine is simple - when I was younger I had grown my hair and beard out and somewhat looked like one of the duck commander boys or zz tops and I was at a bar chatting with a lady and she said my you look like a wild and wooly young man and the bartender was a friend of mine and started laughing at me because she knew I had just grown the beard and hair out and was normally short hair and clean shaven so then everytime I went to bar she would call me that.
It stuck and a nickname was born.

My handle is just something funny, my cup size put into a rhyme. It has evolved- the correct pronunciation is double D McGee, but I seem to have gotten the nickname of Dee Dee. It's just something funny, never one to take myself to seriously so it fits well, except for when people try to call me Ms. McGee(I don't know why that irks me but its awkward as hell).
